This gun is of better quality than I expected for the price. I used it to staple a bamboo floor. I fired 1500 staples with no jams or misfires. It is a little tricky to position correctly at first, so take the time to adjust it properly for the thickness of floor you’re using. It is a bit of a pain to switch it to a regular staple gun. Might be worth buying a separate staple gun if you have to go back and forth a lot. This gun is every bit as good as the Bostich.

I recently purchased some engineered flooring for my living room. The flooring only had a thickness of 5/16. Because of this I was unable to rent a nailer for this installation. So i purchased the Freeman. Loading and adjusting the gun was easy, though the instructions lacked clarity or detail. I installed the 400 Sq ft floor with no complaints or problems from the gun.

Being a contractor, I need reliable tools! This stapler is in fact very reliable. Once adjusted to the proper settings you need not worry about it! Great tool!!

We used two of these nailers to lay down over 1500 sq ft of 5″ Engineered Hickory flooring. Not one issue with either nailer. Fantastic quality & value. Highly recommend.

Got this gun just to install about 700 sq. of 38 thick pre-finished oak .Never jammed,no re-adjustments, well worth the money.

I bought this to install 3/8″ maple flooring over top of plywood underlayment where there had previously been carpet. Using 1 1/4″ long staples @ 90psi works great. This drives the staple just enough with minimal damage to the tongue. YMMV depending on the hardness of what is underneath and the thickness of the flooring. This is one of the few nailers I found that is designed for thin (3/8″ and up) hardware flooring.Note that this unit does not work with the barbed cleats, as they simply do not fit. Only 1/4″ wide 18 ga. staples, or 18 ga nails (haven’t tried nails yet as flooring manufacturer recommends staples).I like that it converts to a regular nailer too, as it will make puting up new trim and chair rail super easy.
