This was may first experience tackling a nail down flooring project. Like to build my tool collect by buying any specialty tools I my need for a project. I have 5 other nailers by Freeman and all work great and were reasonably priced. This flooring nailer was reasonably priced and I felt I was getting a quality tool.I was pleased with it’s performance, no problems and I set just over a 1,000 nails. Did have to be careful to make sure the catch tabs were flush on the edge of the board, they seemed a bit small, but not sure if that is typical with all flooring nailers.I would recommend based on it’s value, workmanship and performance.

I’m a DIY who started doing framing in the 70’s, then went to college for computer science and have always kept in touch with the construction industry. So when I decided to convert my porch into a sunroom, with a hardwood floor, I chose the Freeman nailer. The device worked great, right out of the box, using 2″ L nails at 95 to 100 PSI and a compressor with a 5 gal. reserve. Because of my experience with framing, I didn’t notice any problem requiring me to swing extra hard to drive the nails into 3/4″ oak on top of 5/8″ subflooring.Just a safety note, use ear protectors, it is loud.

I had never installed hardwood flooring until I purchased this nailer. It was easy to use and loading was a snap. I used both staples and flooring nails (in different rooms) and the nailer worked perfectly with both. Finished 4 rooms totally 900 square feet without any problems.

I installed 3/4″ hardwood floors on my whole first level. (Around 1200 SF) I was able to purchase this and take my time instead of renting a used tool and having to rush to get it done. This Nailer is very easy to use and did quality work.

The nailer performed flawlessly. Put down one room of 3/4 hardwood without a single misfire/double feed. I highly recommend this for the do-it yourself buyers.

I also was hesitant about buying this tool, the price made it seem like it was to good to be true. But, it is as others say, a great gun out of the box. I did add an inline pressure regulator/gauge on the gun.

This nailer works fine and I recommend this product. I’m disappointed this nailer is made in China. However, customer service is located in Georgia and the reason I purchased this is the quality of customer service my father received when his Freeman floor nailer experienced a material failure on the air chamber and was leaking.

Used it to install 3/4” oak hardwood floor and did not have a single jammed staple. I applied oil to the gun every 400-500 staples fed and the gun worked perfectly. The mallet has a solid feel to it and it’s well balanced. Happy with my purchase and highly recommend this tool.

Did a 400 square foot family room (over 2000 nails) and not a glitch whatsoever with this nailer. Price was right and very satisfied with this unit. Give it a drop of oil now and then and that’s it.

I recently remodeled my kitchen and first floor Living Rm, Dining Rm, Foyer. I put 3/4″ hardwood hickory throughout the first floor. I thought about renting a nailer, but after looking at the rental cost and the duration I would need the tool, it was a no brainer to buy a Flooring Nailer. I looked at reviews for several different models and decided on Freeman. I’m so happy with this purchase. It has operated flawlessly and comes with everything you need, including a carrier case. I decided to use cleats, not staples, and it worked great. Seems to be very durable and there were no issues with jams or feeding. I used this with my recently purchased Porter-Cable 6 Gal. 150 PSI Portable Electric Air Compressor, 16-Gauge Nailer, 18-Gauge Nailer and 3/8 in. Stapler Combo Kit (3-Tool). Another great purchase from Home Depot.I’m a DIY junky and very meticulous. I love this purchase and would highly recommend it. You can’t go wrong!!
