The Freeman PFN64 Pneumatic 16-Gauge 2-1/2 in. Straight Finish Nailer is ideal for applications such as base moulding, crown moulding, furniture construction, chair rails, door and window casing, and cabinetry. This air powered nail gun is compatible with 16-Gauge straight finish nails from 1 in. to 2-1/2 in., and contains a quick release nose for fast and easy access clearing in the event of jammed fasteners. Other convenient features include a tool-free finger depth adjust for various applications, and a no mar safety contact to prevent damage to your surface during finish work. The magazine and cylinder of this nailer are constructed of anodized aluminum for lightweight durability, and the Teflon O-rings and 1-piece drive blade also work to extend the life of the tool. The ergonomically designed die cast aluminum body results in a lightweight and rugged tool great for use over long shifts, and the comfort grip handle reduces fatigue while increasing control and accuracy. Works as advertised, 7 yr warranty, includes oil, and they even included safety glasses. For the price paid this is a really great finish nailer. i’ve only had one jam in hundreds of pulls, and i’m sure it was something i did wrong.

I was a bit skeptical about buying this nailer based on the price. But finally, I said, why not? A 16 gauge nailer with a 7 year manufacturers warranty for under a 100 dollars….how can I go wrong. I can assure you, this nailer is awesome. I went through more than 3000 nails on a project and had no misfires or jams. I can’t wait for my next project to use it some more!

DIDN’T KEEP, BECAUSE, WE DID NOT KNOW AN AIR COMPRESSOR WAS NEEDED TO RUN THE NAILER. NOTHING ON THE ORIGINAL SALE LIST SAID IT WAS REQUIRED. IF AN AIR COMPRESSOR WAS PROVIDED, WE WOULD HAVE KEPT IT.

Although I have not used this nail gun extensively, my first use on a project was securing a piece of 1×2 red oak to some poplar. It drove 2″ nails through the 3/4″ red oak and into the edge of the poplar with no problem. There were no jams or mis-shot nails. I am very satisfied with this nail gun so far.

Purchased for $69.99 + tax online. Used nailer with SS 2-1/2″ nails on cement fiber 3/4″ trim boards. Satisfied with results. Would buy again for this purpose. Easy to hold up and use all day long. On short test run seemed to work better putting nails into wood. Will definitely use for crown moulding work. Not sure about standing up to heavy duty usage. Overall good value for the price.

The only con that I can think of is that it needs close to 110lbs of air for putting 21/2 in nails in oak! That really is not bad, but i thought it might be closer to 90. Other than that, it is an excellent nailer!

Shoots and loads well, no jams. Rubber bump stop on the front of the gun stops 2 1/2” nails from fully embedding even with PSI at 110 and depth set to max (it keeps the gun too far from the material) After removing the rubber and replacing it with some hockey tape it works fine. No complaints for the price, the modification only took a few minutes.

The item worked great on whatever I used it for. It would face nail trim and hardwood floor and set the nail great. The only problem was nailing the tongue of 3/4″ oak hardwood. Nearly every nail needed to be set with a nail set.
