Like other reviewers, I was in two minds about buying a nail gun that was almost half the price of other leading brands on the market, but after reading allot of overwhelming positive opinions, I took the plunge.I sided a large two story building with Hardie board, no problems at all. Great tool!

It’s misfires rather frequently. “Double nails” and jams too often. Sorry but will have to return in a few days.

This tool has saved a lot of time installing Hardie siding on a entire house vs nailing by hand

A GOOD ENOUGH TOOL FOR THE PRICE.WON’T FEED DOWN PAST LAST 3-4 NAILS AND I OCCASIONALLY HAVE TO MANUALLYADVANCE “NOSE” (WHERE NAIL COMES OUT) FORWARD…DEPTH OF NAIL PENETRATION IS VERY EASY TO ADJUST.

I have not used this tool a lot so I am not the best reviewer. So far it works great, I have had to adjust the air pressure down for pine because it has good driving force. The tool itself looks well build and made of good materials. Its of reasonable weight.

The framing gun was a little to heavy for me..so i returned

This nailer worked great with the 18ft x 10xft addition i built in may. It powered through it with out any jams at all. Just make sure you have a compressor that has enough power to fuel the gun continuously. The case is a huge bonus. Especially in a construction site. It has a great cease fire when the nails are low or empty to protect the gun from user error.

The PCN 65 is relatively low priced, and you get what you pay for. I have used this nailer on OSB-backed soffiting, engineered siding, and plain lumber with repeatedly mixed results. This includes Grip-rite, Simpson, and Hitachi coil nails. Many mis-fires and double fires, many jams and failures to feed. I purchased based on reviews…my mistake.

Great gun to work with

This is an excellent framing nailer. Not much to compare it to though since it is my first. The main reason why I purchased this nailer instead of others is the warrantee and reputation of Freeman. Secondly – it was reviewed as one of the best maulers out there. This nailer hasn’t lots of power and can drive a 3-1/2” nail through 2×4’s in the blink of an eye. Finishing my basement has become a pleasure instead of a pain with the help of this bad boy.

It works ok. It jammed several times and didn’t drive the nails everytime.
