its okay for wood quater Round however dont expect a perfectly clean cut like a mitter saw, that being said its definitely a time saver

The miter guide allowed me to make a clean angle cut in quarter round trim. I admit I was pleasantly surprised at the clean cut the blade made in the wood. It allowed me to make great looking inside and outside corners easier and quicker than using a miter box, and without the saw dust mess. This is a multi-purpose cutter. I was able to cut some vinyl siding trim. The straight down cutting avoided the twisting when using tin snips. There is a threaded hole on the bottom that allows mounting the cutter in a fixed location which helps when there are many cuts to make.

This Multi-Purpose Trim Cutter could prove to be handy for some work, but is, apparently, a specialty, single-purpose tool. It appears to be well-made. The miter guide is clearly marked and easy to see. It says that it “Cuts Quarter Round Trim – PVC and Wood”. I don’t see that it will do much other than that, though I suppose it would be useful if fitting/cutting a lot of quarter round trim..I don’t have any quarter round to use it with right now, but. I have some upcoming projects using quarter round. I might try using it to cut miters in foam rubber pipe/tubing insulation, or other types of vinyl, rubber, or plastic trim, but again, it might be just as easy to use regular scissors, or knives.

I have been a builder remodeler for 48 years, and as such I have many opportunities to use a tool like this MULTI-PURPOSE TRIM CUTTER WITH BUILT-IN MITER GUIDE . This tool is of high quality, and it works very well for work requiring a small a tool to cut small mouldings like this is made for. While it can’t do well cutting larger mouldings, for small mouldings it works well, so this is a very good example of a tool made for that.
