The G-Technology G-SPEED Shuttle XL iM2500 Protective Case is a Pelican iM2500 Storm case that comes with a custom foam insert, which holds your G-SPEED Shuttle XL RAID array system, cords, and one spare drive. This case is designed to protect your RAID system and accessories when moving to a different location. The injection-molded case is made of HPX resin, which is virtually unbreakable as well as dent- and shatter-resistant, and is lightweight, airtight, and watertight.
Aside from protection, it sports a retractable, telescoping handle as well as rugged in-line wheels to help you get to your destination. For comfort, the handle features a double-layered, soft-grip design. Each of the two Press & Pull latches open with a push of a button, yet stay closed securely under impact or stress. To automatically adjust air pressure without letting in water, a permanently attached Vortex valve is on board. In addition, molded-in hasps support standard-sized padlocks for security.

To me this case is just for an airplane ride. I don’t think I will use this case for a real off the grid job or tons of travel. The iM2720 was a much better buy as it keeps the full Shuttle XL is protected and has a cutout of the power cords. This one sadly does not. Side note: If you look around there is a rebate floating out on the inter-webs that will cover the cost of the iM2500 with the purchase of the Shuttle XL.
