The fastest external hard drive I have ever used. It’s very small and super durable. You won’t be disappointed. I use this with my MacBook Pro.

So far it seems tough as nails and lightning fast. After several LaCie rugged drives have failed on me, G Tech hasn’t let me down.

When I first purchased these two years ago they were over $600.00!! I have not had a single issue with these. I have also purchased Sandisk & Fantom SSD drives. Fantom’s drives a huge by comparison. Sandisk’s are the lightest & smallest. They have, for me, performed flawlessly.

Love the drive, small, fast, silent. The USB-C dongles they provide are comically short and make anything but desktop use a precarious balancing game.

Using two of these as Time Machine drives for my 2017 iMac. Completely quiet (SSD) and the small light is thankfully not overly bright,

I use this for my main catalog for Lightroom and use another as a backup copy. It is fast and reliable so far and prevents the catalog space from eating up my main system SSD.

G-Technology has been a standard in our operations. Solid, stable and reliable. The SSD brand is compact, fast and constructed for travel. What will surprise you is that online image is the same size as the actual drive. Go with G-Technology, they will not fail on you.

I have used G-Techs in the past. Compact size, and reliable and fast data transfer. I wish the cord was twice the size as in the previous versions of the drives.

I almost bought the Samsung T5, but this model is often on sale for $100 cheaper for the same speed. Its a tad larger but has excellent build quality. Blackmagic test puts it at 413mb/s write, and 516mb/s read time. It comes with two short cables that I wish were more flexible. The exterior is plastic, which protects the second blue aluminum exterior on the inside.
