I have 3 of these drives that I edit off of on my 2012 MacBook Pro. They are awesome. Super fast, big storage and small enough to transport with me. Never had a problem with them.

bought this to work as a time machine with my Mac and it’s working fine.

Perfect…very fast, small, lots of memory, silent

I like the hardware as this is my third G hard drive.. However, the instructions for converting from Mac to Windows 10 are less than thorough and you have to use some imagination and lots of right clicking to complete the conversion.

An easy swap out. Plug in and push a few key strokes and she is up and running, doubling my backup memory.

I have this for backup and storage away from home/business so that it is in another town. This drive backs up fast and no problems on a Mac computer(s).

I use this with my laptop for time machine backup. What’s great about it is that it runs on USB power (no brick) and it is so small and quiet. No negatives. Totally recommend purchasing.

I bought this to house my VST audio sample libraries. It works perfectly, with no latency even when connected to a usb hub. It is quiet and fast.
Geovanni Schimmel (verified owner) –
Instantly connects and so far so good, but the cable is dodgy at best. If you move the drive it drops connection.

Great small 1 TB drive with fast read/write speed for editing video

I bought this to be a portable storage for a short narrative film. at 7200RPM with a TB of storage, this little hard drive is fantastic for me and my post production people to work with.

Love all my G-Drives, but this one, unlike the G-Thunderbolt drives, don’t have that little light which tells us the drive is on; the drive is happily chugging data back and forth; in other words: putting our minds at ease 🙂

Used as a back up device for a mac computer.

I use my hard drive for storage and video editing and so far it’s been working just fine. I don’t find that it’s slowing or interfering with any other systems on my laptop, and the USB-C fits nicely and does not wiggle or disconnect accidentally, which was a problem I had with an old hard drive. It’s slim and light, doesn’t take up too much space or weigh you down too much. No complaints so far about it!

Super lightweight and easy to use. Doesn’t feel very durable. I dropped it maybe 4 inches once and it feels like the outer casing already is coming loose, just from that. So be careful with these guys. But for the money and ease, not bad at all.

As always this brand makes quality drives that work as advertised..
Howell Flatley (verified owner) –
This drives transfers very quickly, small enough to take with you and the brand has never given me any crashing issues. You can never go wrong with G-drive.

Used for Lightroom Library (400 Gig) that I moved from internal iMac HD. Very fast, can’t see any difference in performance from HD.

This Drive is a perfect Time Machine backup drive – reliable, built well, quiet and small!
