The GE Twist and Lock Replacement Membrane provides better-tasting water for beverages and cooking. Designed for use with the GE Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System, the membrane requires only a quarter turn for installation. Compatible with systems PXRQ15F, PNRQ15F, PNRQ20F, PNRQ20R, and PNRQ21R.

Since I had orginally installed the Profile RO system in 2011, the RO membrane cartridge lasted 8 years, so I have no complaint. Installation as described in the original manual was somewhat confusing about the sterilization procedure, but after several reads I figured it out.

Easy to install and does a great job. Water tastes great after using this RO membrane and looks very clean. Note: I haven’t done any water study to measure the actual water quality. So this review is based on my visual inspection and taste perception.The issue I see with this membrane is that its not always available and its very expensive. GE needs to make more of it and keep it available. Plus, there isnt any generic or other brands that make this membrane. For the pre and post filter, other brands are available (if GE one is sold out). I have had this RO set for 7 years now. Hope to use it for many more. The membrane needs to be replaced every 2 years or so.
