The GE Twist and Lock Replacement Membrane provides better-tasting water for beverages and cooking. Designed for use with the GE Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System, the membrane requires only a quarter turn for installation. Compatible with systems PXRQ15F, PNRQ15F, PNRQ20F, PNRQ20R, and PNRQ21R.

Easy enough to replace, but having to refill and drain the RO tank many multiple times to eliminate the sanitizing chlorine, then again to remove the “food grade” preservative in the RO element itself after replacement is tedious and takes the better part of a full day or more (Can have to wait up to four hours for RO tank to refill after each complete drain process). Thankfully, the cartridges and RO element have lasted a long time, but I am not hydrating an entire family–just myself and two dogs-so not many gallons used per day.Also, by the time you buy the replacement cartridges and RO cartridge, you are close to paying for an entirely new system, although this particular system has been superseded by a newer version. Sadly, the filter cartridges are not interchangeable and these are no longer carried in-store. Only available now on-line.That said, I have been satisfied with the performance of the RO system and the water quality.

After using the filtration system for two years and having to go to GE for support several times to resolve issues. The replacement filters are expensive and are short lived however they make it very easy to replace. It’s more convenient than a bottled water dispenser in a home. It would be nice if our local store kept them in stock. Don’t waste your money on aftermarket products.
