We bought this as an upgrade from one of the filters that screws onto the faucet. It looks great, seems well made, and is easy to use. The only negative is the installation kit. I threw out the nylon adaptor which seemed prone to leaks and used a brass one instead. It has been working great for over a month with no leaks. We have city water and it removes all traces of chlorine.

Not bad for the money. Easy to install. Just be careful installing any of these types of products as they mostly use plastic threaded fittings which can be easy damaged.

We installed this with some difficulty; the nylon tee for the 1/4″ tubing was for the older style 1/2″ faucet piping; ours was the more modern 3/8″. Had to go to 3 different stores to come up with a way to adapt the tee. We also had a problem to get the dispenser connected to the base in the right-hand configuration as you have to twist it 180 degrees to lock it into the base, but we have a backsplash behind the sink which didn’t give us enough room for us to do it. So, we had to rotate the base clockwise, install the dispenser, and rotate the dispenser/base both together to the desired position, which means the base is not as tightly fastened down as we’d like. Now that it’s installed and working, the water tastes great!

I don’t know why manufacturers continue to include plastic pieces for plumbing installations? They rarely fit correctly and if you thread it wrong, the fitting gets damaged easily. Other than the plastic fitting, this system was a breeze to install and it works great. It is handy to have a seperate drinking water system spout vice the ones installed on the kitchen faucet.
