I bought a system like this more than 5 years ago. It works good and even though I would recommend it to others I would suggest you make sure that your dealer will continue to stock replacement filters. The one I bought uses “replacement filter GXRLQR”. Home Depot now stocks the whole system as GXRLQR with no separate listing for the filter only. I would have given this a five star rating except for the filter problem. What a bummer!!

This filter is very affordable and is easy to install. Lodi has good tasting water already, yet I still can taste a difference. Now my water quality is even better. I like that this filtration system has a built in alert light when the filter needs to be replaced. The replacement cartridges are simple to change and are so reasonably priced that I can always keep one on hand .

Very simple installation after cutting 1″ hole in ss sink. Water flow is adequate and crystal clear without any after taste of chemicals. A great product with easy to follow instructions. Very good value. One happy customer.

So far so good, although we had a similar one (the style has changed) before but we moved from that house. I missed the filtered water so much for our morning coffee and cooking that I found and bought another right away. Easy installation, although this time I had to buy a hole saw bit to cut through our new granite counter top to install it. The filter and faucet work great, no leaks, and the water tastes much better than without it.The only draw backs are: there is only one style and color to choose from. If you wanted it in brushed nickle or oil-rubbed bronze to match a different motif you’re out of luck. The other drawback is the price of replacement filters. However, all filters are expensive.

The filter system is relatively easy to install (medium DIYer skills required) and filters are easy to change. Filters are expensive and don’t last very long (flow diminishes fairly quickly). After maybe 8-10 filter changes the filter “manifold” fails (starts making a buzzing noise and no water comes out) and needs to be replaced. This is apparently due to a cam in the unit that wears down with filter changes — planned obsolescence, similar to a light bulb.

I gave this 4 stars for one reason. It is a throw away unit if anything breaks on it. I owned one previously and broke a 10 cent clip on it. GE did not just sell the little clip. The unit is easy to install and works great. Filters need replacing once or twice a year.

Good product. The faucet is a quality item that seems like it is gong to last. The installation was very easy and straightforward- taped it right into the cold water line in the kitchen. No leaks whatsoever so far. The water tastes much better than it did so I’m happy with that. I consider it a good purchase.
