Works great. Easy to install and took a “earthy taste of water” to a very pleasant taste once installed. We have had this filter for 6 months…but prior to moving we have had it in our other house for over 3 years. It worth it’s weight in gold.

I just installed this product today and am happy with the results. I added an additional tee (push fitting) to the filtered water line, and ran that to the refrigerator. Everything worked great, and the kit contained everything I needed (minus the refrigerator modification). The flow rate, and water taste are excellent. I highly recommend this product for people wanting filtered water at the sink (when the selector is engaged), and the refrigerator / ice maker. Note that there are a couple of very important plastic fittings: 1. 3/8″ male compression fitting to push fitting. This will screw right onto the threads of your existing female 3/8″ stop valve; 2. push fitting to 3/8″ compression male. This will connect your existing cold water line. Be careful when threading plastic to metal. Run some Teflon tap, and hand-tighten, plus maybe 1 turn with wrenches. Don’t over-tighten. You can always tighten more if there are minor leaks after turning the water back on. Also, all of the tubing is 3/8″ OD.

My family had been using 5 gallon jugs from the grocery store to get our filtered water and decided to switch to an undersink option to save money in the long term. We opted to install a new hole in the sink and used a Greenlee to drill the hole (allows for a cleaner finish than using a hole saw drill) and installed per vendor instructions. Very simple. The system is easy to use and filters are reasonably inexpensive. We liked it because it doesn’t take up much room and blends in well. The water tastes pretty good and I trust the two in-line filters to do their job properly.Only lessons learned when installing for the next guy are to cut the tubes to fit properly (so you don’t have a tangled mess) and to make sure that if you are using a Greenlee drill bit to make sure that it is the correct size (a 1-1/4″ Conduit bit will not drill a 1-1/4″ hole). Make sure that Pex tubing cuts are flat and pull back on the tubing after installed into the fittings to ensure they are properly secured.

The GE High Flow Dual Filtration System is overall a good system. Installation was not too difficult and took about one hour. I also like that the filters do not take away too much space under the counter. I gave it only four stars because the system merely “reduces” the water contamination, but does not guarantee removal of the majority of contaminants, including fluoride. I had another high end system installed that required a seperate clean water faucet. The filtration on my old system and the taste of the water was excellent because it removed nearly all (95%) contaminants, but the replacements filters were very expensive. The replacement filters for the GE System are much more 5easonable. Therefore, I do recommend it.

I just installed this system and it leks at the point of connection with the water supply. Be careful if you install this product. You may end up with water under the sink. I’m not sure yet how I’m going to fix it

We were tired of buying bottles and bottles of water and after some consideration of faucet type units we purchased this instead. It works very well actually and was very easy to fit with the color-coded push-fit pipes, although the instructions are a tiny bit unclear about some of the adapters that come in the kit, and where they go. I found a little bag with two o-rings that didn’t appear anywhere at all in the booklet for example. No problem though, I worked it out. Good to go I thought …BUT, after a day or two I noticed a pool of water in my undersink cupboard, which I traced a tiny leak coming from the top of the unit, which turned out to be a faulty weld in the main plastic housing that the filters thread onto. Home depot exchanged it for me no problem though, so it was just a minor thing, although lucky I was paying attention as it could have been a real problem if left unfixed. The leak was tiny and not even visible until the unit was pressurized but I had a video clip of it weeping, which was useful when I took it back to explain the issue. I still gave the unit 4 stars though, because despite the slight manufacturing flaw (it can happen to anyone but maybe their QA needs a bit of work ?) because now it now it is just fine. The water where I live is not TOO bad already in terms of taste and hardness, but once run through the filter it is indistinguishable from expensive bottled. We use it for our kettle and coffee maker too which has reduced the need to descale them quite dramatically. It’s not an actual water softener though, even though it does remove a lot of the calcium, judging by the reduced scaling. It has a timer system that alerts you when 6 months has passed and it is time for new filters, although to be fair again it depends more on how much you actually use it obviously, and remembering to switch the unit to bypass the filters when you just need non-drinking cold water. I noticed other reviews saying the selector unit is just plastic and a bit flimsy, which I can understand, but then if you operate it with some due care (after all you paid good money for it right ?) and not go at it full Gorilla I doubt it would ever be a problem.

The person who installed it said it was easy to install and it is working fine. I like having the knob instead of snothet faucet on the sink.

Fairly easy to install but you have tubing everywhere when you are done, especially if you hook them up without cutting them to size (I did). I replace a drinking fountain style which was a little slow especially if you wanted to fill a pot. This one come right from the regular faucet and is faster.

It was easy enough to install, my husband did it. However the reason I only gave it three stars is because my water doesn’t taste any better and that’s the whole reason we bought the filter.

This system was easy to install under the sink using hose connectors that fit the water lines. A tool comes with the unit to aid in removal and install of the filter. Water flow gpm is as specified. It’s fast and doesn’t affect the rate of water coming out. Just turn the knob on when you want tasty water and off when you don’t. Doesn’t wear the filter out as fast this way. Water tastes clean and doesn’t have any smell to it. Tastes as good as delivered water. Cheaper too. The filter does last about 6 months without affecting taste. Indicator works fine to notify of the need to change. Replacement filters are still available. The on/off knob is chrome which doesn’t match my brushed nickel but it works and so I overlook the color variation.

So I decided not to use the dual flow feature on this and opted to only use the filters themselves. I’m installing this to filter water going to my water fountain in my shop, so I’ll never need it to be dual flow. The installation is SUPER simple, there is an inlet and an outlet. Then two screws to attach it to the wall. The screws are hidden under a cap that snaps on, and it hangs much like a picture on the wall. The inlet and outlet are PEX connections and the PEX pipe is provided. Can’t be any easier than that!

The water filter was bought to replace an older version. It is used for our ice maker and our drinking water
