Incredibly clear and top quality water from a reasonably priced system. Take 2 identical clear glasses… fill one with normal trap water and the other with water from this system. The clarity of the water from this system will blow your mind. 100% recommended. Only downside is that it filters kinda slowly, so filling a 10 gallon pot would be a bit frustrating… but for a small family’s drinking water needs, it’s ideal!!

I bought this RO system to replace an aging carbon block filter that was hard to find replacement filters for. I got to say, my water now tastes better than it has for ages. I’m on well water that needs a lot of treatment. Be advised that if you have high iron in your water, this won’t be enough, but we installed a whole house iron removal system a few years back that takes care of that problem.I would not rate this as an “easy” install, I would consider it to be more “intermediate”. The old system had a smaller faucet hole, this takes a 1 3/8 hole in your sink or counter. But I had a 1 3/8 knockout punch which made quick work of enlarging the sink hole. The other problem was the size of the original water supply saddle valve was larger, so I had to come up with an adapter to go to the smaller inlet hose of this new system. As far as I can tell, this system works as well as RO systems costing $1000, so it is a great value. One minor quibble is that the “replace filter” indicator is based strictly on time, not the amount of water processed. I plan to “hack” that by removing and replacing the lithium cell at the first six months, because I figure that the filters should last a year with a two person household.

This UNDER SINK REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM is pretty good. My sink didn’t have a hole port for the water dispenser but I wanted to try it out before completely installing it to make sure it worked and how the water tastes to see if I liked it or not. I actually do like it and am going to completely install it this weekend. Before I used water gallons and it was always a hassle for drinking water, but this will eliminate that and I would just have to change the filter every 3-6 months. I recommend this to people who want to eliminate the hassel of buying galloned water.

The GE REVERSE OSMOSIS FILTRATION SYSTEM is a very nice water filtration system. We noticed an almost immediate change in the taste of our water. Easy to install under the kitchen sink with only minor issues. Instructions could be better.

I had a carbon based filter system before and this system will take some getting use to the flavor. basically because this system strips the water more completely compared to the carbon system. Our coffee is much better then before with water from this system. I no longer purchase distilled water for my sleep apnea machine after I tried the water from this system for a few nights. When I ran out of distilled water I would use tap water and get a calcium build in the tank, not any more. So with that being said I am happy with the purchase.

CONS: Parts bag was missing from package box. GE Appliances Service telephone support was poor and not helpful. Required a return trip to the store. PROS: Home Depot is customer-friendly and helpful. Eventually, after resolving unnecessary hassles of installation, the unit works well and meets my expectations (although I fear the high costs of frequent 3 filter-cartridge replacements). Smart advice: As all good technicians know, be sure to verify that “all parts” are included and in good condition BEFORE starting any installation process. On 10 Sept 2019, I purchased a GE under sink Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System, Model #GXRQ18NBN, from a local Home Depot store for $199.99. During my pre-installation preparations, I discovered that the new GE box package was MISSING a parts bag with several key items. That’s an unexpected hassle. Worse yet, I called GE Appliances Service and Support telephone 800-626-2005 to request delivery of the missing parts bag – and their telephone reps abandoned me on “indefinite hold” three times with no resolution! They couldn’t resolve this small problem. No help. Frustrated! Do you remember when a simple phone call could solve problems? Now it seems that every big company like GE cuts back on “customer support” telephone service and refers all customer problems to their user-unfriendly website. Sadly this is today’s new normal. My only alternative was to put everything back into the box and return it to Home Depot for a refund. At the store a helpful Home Depot customer service rep brought forward a replacement package box with all parts included. An easy exchange and I was on my way home to perform the installation. The installation is not difficult for a DIY-er. Just use good technical sense and pay attention to details to assure no plumbing problems or leaks. Attached are 11 Sept 2019 photos of my kitchen sink installation of this new GE under sink Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System, Model #GXRQ18NBN. – –

It was easy to install. After the purging, the water is good tasting. We hope to be able to find the replacement filters when it’s time. GE is a good name brand and we hope this will last like aou GE appliances.

Although we have a water softener, we still buy bottled water because the water can still taste very minerally. This has truly changed that for us! Install was easy and it doesn’t take up too much room under the sink. Our water tastes so much better and it has been so helpful to not always have bottled water on hand. I am so impressed and love this addition to my home!

GE hit this one out of the park. I replaced an old RO unit this package is considerably smaller and fits in a compact space under my sink. So much more space and I comparable flows and excellent water quality.

It is very easy to install and the sleek faucet looks cool besides kitchen faucet. So far water quality is good and just by taste I can tell the difference.

It needed thread tape in order to not leak at all, and the one fitting I didn’t do it with did slowly drip until I corrected it. But otherwise the install went smoothly, I did it by myself and there is a notable difference in the water quality, and improvement
