Easy install. Works great. Simple and cost effective. I have always ordered the basic models on my last 4 houses and have never had a service call or failure. Friends of mine have been talked into fancy multi tanked softeners for 2000 price range and had service issues, spent extra money uselessly, and take up too much valuable garage space. Basically the get rid of dry skin itching for me when showering, and make my glasses spotless and my clothes softer. Thats it, pretty simple.

I was replacing an older version of this unit. Unfortunately the water connections are similar to the older unit, but different enough that it all had to be re-done. A little frustrating. That’s why it didn’t get five stars. Once installed it works as it should.

Our water was so hard before, now it is soft and silky. We use so much less soap, our dishwasher does not leave spots and our clothes are much cleaner and brighter. Love this softener and would recommend it to anyone.

Easy installation and easy setup. My only add would be to increase the length of the drain tube. Had to replace with one ~8ft longer, but that’s just how the basement is laid out to get to the drain. All-in-all. Good price, GE always makes a good product and registration was easy

So far this is a wonderful product! It was quite easy to install and the digital set up was a breeze. We will wait for a week and see if we need to change the hard water number. We have it set at 14 but we may want it softer than that.

The softener works well so far.

Within a day we noticed how much our water had changed. The smell and taste had improved dramatically. Even when our old softner was first put in, we still had a smell to our water. What a difference now. Would highly recommend this unit.

I have installed this model in several different houses I have lived in and it is very reliable and low maintenance. Also pretty easy to install. I used the shark bite water softener connection hoses when the water lines are pex.

Does not come with connection hose from the unit ti the house. The description say installation kit included. Very easy to install and setup. Does not take up a lot of space. Housing plastic is very cheap. I hope this last 15 years

The installation was simple and the directions were detailed. I paired this with the GE smart water filter also seen in the picture. I have very hard water and I have had to set this at 125 (default setting is 25) to get my water softened to zero but it does a good job. At that setting I am adding a bag every 3 days or so. I thought this was a smart water softener like the water filter but it is not. The 40,000 grain like this one is the smart version. I had added the 40k to my cart and switched to this one because my calculation was 48k and I didn’t notice is wasn’t smart until I was installing it.

Easy to install and works great! I could tell a difference in the water quality right away.

This water softener is the best for my application. It’s a simple softener without a lot of features that don’t improve the quality of the water but end up costing more money.

While I’ve only had this for a few weeks, it’s been working well.

Very pleased with the product so far. Did not take long to turn our very hard water into very soft water. We replaced our 20 year-old unit which started having problems. Like the feature that tells you how many days until you have to add salt. Unit appears to use very little salt.
