When we moved to Texas, we noticed lots of minerals in our water. Build up fast in showers and dishwasher door. Also water has a different taste to it. So we invested in this softener since our house already has the built in loop. We can see and taste the difference in water the very same day. If is not salty. Also we can feel the soft skin effect the very next day. The softener is very quiet. Definitely would recommend it!!!!

You could pay $2000 for a softener that does the same thing but why would you. It has everything that you need. I had one in my old house. Glad to have another softener.

This unit is very easy to install and setup. I finished the install under 40 minutes. Nothing fancy but functional. I wanted a more compact version but this is the only size for a 4 people household.

This softener is my third or fourth in my home. All previous brands before this one were Kenmores. This GE unit is producing much softer water at a much lower setting.
