This is my second unit in less than 2 years. My first one’s circuit board went bad and the buttons no longer worked. If you read reviews you’ll see a lot of people complaining about this. That board itself is about $300. When I spoke with GE they would send someone out for $100 and then charge parts and labor on top of it, which would likely exceed the cost of replacing. I didn’t have the money to get a much better model, so I bought this again since it’s easy to swap out.

Somewhat easy to install. Had to do some plumbing changes since this units water intake and discharge are much closer together than my last unit. Other than that it works great. No issues.

So far, so good. I do have a concern about your store. I hesitated on buying the water softener without asking some questions, so I visited your store on Southport Road, Indianapolis, IN. What a waste of time, I encountered only three employees in the whole store. One at a checkout counter, one at the customer service desk and one in the paint department. The employee at the customer service desk was able to direct me fairly close to where they were stocked.

So far so good after about 2 weeks in service. What was particularly nice was that the plumbing hookup matched exactly to the old Kenmore it replaced. Essentially zero plumbing work to do!

I purchased this unit on the Home Depot website and picked it up locally. I needed to replace a similar softener of a different brand that had reached the end of its serviceable life. The softener itself is performing quite well; I only wish more information were displayed on the LCD screen during the backwash cycle.I need to give a warning about Home Depot. When the unit was brought out to me by the store employee the carton was opened. I was somewhat concerned but accepted it anyway since it was the last one in stock. When I arrived at home I found the head of the softener removed and three essential o rings missing. I did not want to travel back to the store and return the unit; it was enough of a hassle picking it up. It took me two days and additional expense to obtain the missing o rings and install the softener. Once installed the unit performed as expected. Don’t trust Home Depot, and never accept an open item.

Easy enough installation and works great at softening our hot water. No more orange rust spots in the bathtub!

When we moved to Texas, we noticed lots of minerals in our water. Build up fast in showers and dishwasher door. Also water has a different taste to it. So we invested in this softener since our house already has the built in loop. We can see and taste the difference in water the very same day. If is not salty. Also we can feel the soft skin effect the very next day. The softener is very quiet. Definitely would recommend it!!!!

I was replacing an older version of this unit. Unfortunately the water connections are similar to the older unit, but different enough that it all had to be re-done. A little frustrating. That’s why it didn’t get five stars. Once installed it works as it should.

Within a day we noticed how much our water had changed. The smell and taste had improved dramatically. Even when our old softner was first put in, we still had a smell to our water. What a difference now. Would highly recommend this unit.

This softener works very well. I’m happy with my purchase of it. It’s been installed now for about 1 month and have had no problems at all. I thought the set up of it was pretty easy. We have well water, It’s made a huge difference for sure.

Easy to install with new pex pipe and fittings, love the E clip connector. Works good for mild hard water, don’t know about real hard water. We have only had it installed for a month, so far so good.

Seems to be working great. Was easier to install than I thought it would be. Overall very pleased with the experience thus far.

Easy to install and a great upgrade from our 20 year old one that probably hasn’t been putting out soft water for years. I like how easy it is to start an on demand Regen and the salt monitor is great. It also takes up so much less space than my old unit which had a separate tank for the salt. Regeneration is also much quiter. the old unit was very noisy and would wake you at night when regenerating. Hardly even hear this one. The Suds are back after installing this!
