The GE 45,100-Grain Water Softener System features SmartSoft technology that monitors water usage and anticipates future demand, so you don’t run out of soft water. It has a 160 grains per gallon maximum hardness-removal capacity and it also removes 10 PPM of iron. Handy features such as programmable operation, an alarm and indicator lights and a permanent memory offer reliable, hassle-free operation. This system has the capacity and convenience features that make it ideal for families of 4 or more.

I’m very happy with the GE water softener. I had a bad problem with hard water. I purchased this softner because of all the good reviews it got from other customers. With some plumbing g knowledge I was able to hook it up in a couple hours,including buying the PVC pipe,salt and misc Plumbing supplys. Used an iron remover to clean up all the fixture in the house,no longethave the staining problem. I’m very satisfied and would recommend to anyone with hard water problems. Thanks GE for an affordable softner that gets the job done. No more rust stains and nice soft water. Takes less soap to do laundry and bathing.

Does not come with connection hose from the unit ti the house. The description say installation kit included. Very easy to install and setup. Does not take up a lot of space. Housing plastic is very cheap. I hope this last 15 years
