I have used this product to filter the chlorine water that comes out of the shower head and i found it to be very effective. When i learned what kind of a damage chlorine in water could do to our human skin and hair, i decided that i must take action to remove chlorine from the shower water. Before using the shower filter, my skin were always dry and my hairs falling off a lot, as a result of chlorine’s bad effect. But now, those problem were gone after installing the shower filter. Studies had shown that tap water contains high amount of chlorine, and a small amount of chlorine could do so much harm to humans. Chlorine could cause liver, kidneys problems when it attacks the body for enough long period of years. By the way, when we shower our skin absorbs the chlorine water.Thats why i find it so important to use the shower filter to remove the chlorine from the shower water.

The GE Shower water filtration system works well for me. I noticed my skin isn’t as dry after taking a shower, and it is softer. My only complain is that the threads are made of plastic. I move the shower head around often and now I’m paranoid about breaking the plastic.

This product Is wonderful! We have use this shower filter before and it works very well in the hot desert of Arizona. The water here is so hard. It’s hard on your body and your hair. I would recommend this shower filter to anyone who wants to have that her water. We had one before. Only sorry it was not available in the store across the street. We had to order it online. It is easy to put on. A small convenient size. Everything about it is just perfect. I would use it again and have recommended it to my friends.

I heard about this product from a friend and decided to try it. It was really easy to install, and I could tell an immediate difference, as my water no longer smelled like chlorine. My skin doesn’t dry out and itch like it did before. My wife likes it because removing the chlorine allows her hair color to last longer. I won’t go without one now.

This filer works very well at removing chlorine and smells from the water, and I feel it is a great value due to its price. One major advantage is that it allows the shower head to remain at about the same height as it would be without the filter; other filters lower this height because of the extra length at the downward angle.However, there are two weaknesses in the design. The first is that there is a very fragile plastic section between the main unit and the connection to the water supply coming out of the wall. If you were to grab the shower head to catch your balance (or apply too much up, down or side force for other reasons), you will probably break it and need to buy a replacement (first-hand experience). The second is that it is very difficult to remove the filter housing for changing the filter. I suggest removing the filter from the water supply pipe before attempting to change the filter due to reason #1. It also allows you to get better leverage.

the shower filter works great. However, about every 18months, the housing fails and you have to buy the whole assembly. Its happened 3 times to me now. Might be looking to find something that lasts longer.!!

Easy to install and cheap and worked, but this is my second one since the first one broke after a few months (I believe the gasket was or became misaligned and it started leaking and it broke upon trying to tighten it). But I was pleased enough with it to buy another, as I doubt we will have the same issue again and our short shower requires this design so we can still fit under the spray without hunching.
