Generally fine under counter water filter. The parts, fittings, and hoses are all made from cheap plastic, so DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN as it can crack any part which renders the entire unit useless. After installation I used OTO drops to test for chlorine in the water and noticed that there still was a decent amount of chlorine coming through one of my two installed units. Even though there was no external leakage, I removed the filter cartridge and re-seated it and it began testing correctly. I guess it didn’t seat properly the first time, but there is absolutely no way to know if the filter is working without using a water testing kit as it is very hit or miss. A better design wouldn’t allow unfiltered water to leak through, but everything about this unit is designed to be as cheap as possible.

Decent filter for price. If you are handy, it’s easy to install and change filters.

I live in a rural area on a well. While this is simply a cold water line filter, I ended up purchasing two. One for kitchen and one for bath. The water is soooo much better now.

It has really made the water taste much better. Would recommend this to everyone.

Had to buy additional adapters to fit the tubing for the facet line & the supply line. The tubing that runs into the filter head must be straight in & can’t be bent or water will leak.

We serve a lot of coffee between morning worship services and our city water really does a number on our coffee makers. The GE full flow filter is doing an awesome job in filtering our water !!

When we bought our second home there was an undersink reverse osmosis filter system that was inoperable. Those systems waste tons of water so rather than replacing it, I just removed it. Over the years as we have been here more and more we noticed how bad the water tasted. And how bad the ice tasted, too. After using a stand alone Britta water filter but still having terrible ice, I decided it was time to remedy the problem. This system was recommended by a guy at the local Home Depot. I thought I was going to have to have a side faucet for the filtered water but no, not with this model! I was able to install it myself and added a “T” connector to also service the ice maker line to the refrigerator. The fact that cold water out of my one handle kitchen sink faucet is filtered water and the hot water is not filtered is great. The tap water tastes great. We are using the filtered water for cooking which is a plus. No more waiting for water to drip through the Britta! The ice is now clearer and tastes so good that we are having a hard time keeping ice around. The increase in ice consumption is a testament to how well this sustem works. I would highly recommend this water filter! Great job to those who made this!

Easy to install. I have had a counter mounted filtration system for 15 odd years. It needed to be replaced and this unit fit all my filtration requirements. Easy to install and hook up. Future filter cost (which will be much less expensive) was also a deciding factor. Very satisfied.

I found it fairly easy to install because I was replacing another unit that had plastic hose line, otherwise you need adapters which may mean an extra trip to the store.

It was easy to install with the help of associate Tom at store 6564. Helped me with the parts that I was going to need

Everything is fine except two concerning items.1. Hard to stop the water leak from water pipe to the filter hose.2. The water coming out from the kitchen faucet is not really full flow. The water flowing is somehow constricted.

Great system, does not take up a lot of space in the cabinet.

I replaced the Brita pitcher system with the GE and was unsure of result, but am very happy. It is so much more convenient that I wish I had done it earlier. The install was fairly easy for a handy person. Instructions were OK. I also installed the ice maker hose so that the ice is filtered. Overall we are very pleased.

Trouble free installation and working well.Does a good job on city water. If you are dealing with non city problem water you should probably consider RO or multi cartridge system.Tips:Several reviewers have complained about the push in connections for the tubing leaking or popping out. I suspect they did not install correctly. When installing these fittings, push the tube in about a 1/4″ until it stops going easily. If you stop there it will leak or pop out. You have to grasp it firmly and push hard so it goes in another 1/2″ or so. You will feel it bottom out solidly. Also, install the mounting bracket screws as per instructions but leave them slightly loose to the bracket just hangs on the wall. This makes it easy to remove from the wall for installing tubes and servicing the filter.Installing the filter into the bracket takes some hand strength so make sure it rotates enough to lock in.If you have reasonable handyman skills it is very doable. If you are a raw novice hire some one or get help from a friend who has skills.

I wish the filter was more inclusive of harmful bacteria etc.

Filter removed bad tasting water immediately. Installation was easy enough, I would have preferred the connection at the water shut off valve under the sink was a a thread adapter to push connect for the poly tubing provided. The compression fitting for the poly initially leaked as it is a bit tricky to get the insert in far enough but not too far. Very compact installation that does not take up much room under the sink and very easy to replace the filter when needed.
