The GE Kitchen or Bath Replacement Filter provides filtered water for cooking and drinking. Designed for use with the GXULQ system. The filter helps you reduce the taste and odor of chlorine, sediment, sand, silt, rust and turbidity.

It was easy to install and works great. Interestingly enough, I have read reviews complaining about the water flow through these filters. My previous (and original) filter worked fine, but did have a very reduced water flow. This replacement filter works fine with a very good water flow. I don’t know why the flow rate differs between filters. I lowered one star because of this inconsistency.

Easy to replace, but does not last anywhere near 6 months, I’m sure that is somewhat due to the water quality, but after less than 2 months the flow turns to a trickle. For the price I would expect better.

I don’t KNOW if 99% of lead is eliminated but trust it is. It was easy to replace & the timer is cool to alert you to change, very clever & all user friendly
