The GE Household Water Filtration Unit filters water at your main water supply to help reduce sediment, sand and rust to help provide clean, clear water throughout your home. Certified by the NSF, the unit has a remote filter light that reminds you when to change the filter (not included). Hardware is included for fast, convenient installation.

Love this product. It makes the water taste great and then the water is not as harsh on the skin. Definitely a great , must have item in your house.

These filters come with battery powered timers to tell you when to change the filter cartridge. They’re next to no value. The mounting brackets count on the pipes you install to hold the filter. It would be better if they sent it with pipe reducing fittings rather than junk timers.

Replaced my GE filter that I could not loosen, works fine so far would have preferred a bypass valve bit of a pain to change cartridges when you have to shut off the water and drain the lines.

I purchased three of the older units 20 years ago & the bottom filter housing split this morning spraying water everywhere. Needing a new unit to continue having water service & checking with Home Depot, there was one of these left on the shelf.After purchasing & checking the split bottom housing with the new one, they are the same with just exterior molding differences.After replacing the filter element & reassembling the new base into the old top unit, there were no leaks & a quick repair. I will purchase two more units when they come back into stock & replace the entire old system as the new upgraded system has more life that the 20 year old one, plus it has an electronic gadget to tell you when to change the filter.
