As the title says, four years and still wood. What made me want to fill out this review is the sediment and water in my toilet tank. Replaced the toilet about the same time as I installed this whole house filter. The toilet reservoir tank of the old toilet was like most I’ve seen over the years. Rusty color and debris in the bottom. So anyway, I have to say that I have had no reason to even look in the tank of the new toilet and when I did remove the lid, boy was I surprised. The tank still looked new after almost four years of use. That tells me the filter is doing a great job at removing rust and filth from the city water supply. Couldn’t be happier.

Quick and easy to install. would be helpful if it included some kind of filter at the start and a couple bushings to go from 3/4 to 1/2 inch pipe.

We installed this ourselves before installing a new tankless water heater, it works great! You would not believe how clean and nice the water is. Our shower no longer leaves stains on the floor and walls. We love it; we installed it using threaded copper, but PVC would have worked.

I installed this behind a 100 micron screen filter which wasn’t catching all the sediment from our well. Huge improvement.

Tried mounting between the floor joints where the water lines run under the floor. Mounted the unit connected water lines and it leaked where the lines threaded into the filter. Unscrewed the metal bracket and rethreaded the water lines letting the filter float between the floor joists and was able to stop the leak. It’s plastic got lucky didn’t damage the threads. Use teflon tape seems to work well. Changed the filter and noticed improvement in water pressure, timer went off. Meets my needs for a low cost.

Had this installed for about 2 uears now. I learned the hard way that there is a freeze plug on the bottom of the outside flter case. Too easy to fix purchase a new one and just replace the lower filter case. I ended up using two in the long run. One filter for sediment and one charcoal for extra ensurances.
