Installed with pex. One concerned i had was the water pressure. The water pressure stayed the same.I have 3/4 main (pex) had to use a reducer 1 to 3/4. I have water from city. After installing the water filter and turning on the water, i was able to see some rust particles, probably pipes. Water filter has a shut off valve, but i went ahead and installed and extra one before filter for extra safety.

This has been a grate product not a problem i installed it November 2018 has been working grate since then it is now January 2020 filter changes have been a breeze i would install this product in a family or best friends house works that well follow the install and service instructions and shouldn’t have any trouble unless you get defective unit or you install it wrong i will say the filters are pricey but worth it in the long run

Added filter with new water softener .Had a plumber install both. Not a big job.The filter works fine, not sure I wanted to know how dirty our water really is.Glad we added it to our water system.

This was not too difficult to install even though the one that it replaced was smaller and connected to a one inch polypro. pipe. Water flow is a lot better.

Easy to install and recommend locating at point where it may be easily viewed and serviced.

Works well. Bought additional filters that said they fit “most” 10 inch filter systems. Unfortunately, they are about 1/8″ too long and get slightly crushed when installed. However, the one I installed, in spite of minor crushing, seems to be working just fine. If I need more filters I will make sure they fit the GE unit. The bypass valve worked well when changing filters.

Took a plumber awhile to hook it up but I can tell the water is much more clear. If you decide to flush your hot water heater drain it all then fill it up maybe 1/4 ro 1/3 full then drain it again. I had discolored water for awhile and think a second partial flush would have prevented that.

We had a smaller filter and had to change the filter every few weeks. Upgrading to this larger style is much better and we now have consistent water pressure.

It does what I needed. The refills are expensive but I need a filter on my water supply.

So far, it’s been fantastic. The filter life will vary depending on the amount of sediment in your well or system. It was surprisingly easy to install with a some shark bites and brass fittings. It’s really made a huge difference for us by lessening the amount of salt needed to treat our well water and removing a ton of iron sediment too. Worth every penny.

This is a good whole home water filter, we are seasonal and have changed the pleated filter 4 times. The o-ring has now stretched beyond it’s ability to stay in the housing groove and am having issues locating a replacement locally. Suggest buying 2-3 o-rings to keep as replacements when buying this unit.

This is my second one. Watch which filters you buy as some won’t last very long. Also both pressure relief valves have stuck on me causing a leak.. Any help. Fixing this would be appreciated Thank You.

Easy to install and very affordable. Our water taste and feel good. I highly recommend to get the GE Water softener with this filter. Thanks to GE and Home Depot for enriching my family’s life by giving us clean water.
