The GE Whole House Filtration System is easy to install with push-to-connect fittings. Water flow is easily controlled with a simple twist. Basic, Advanced, or Premium filter options are available for a custom level of filtration to fit your needs (filters each sold separately).

So far so good! Pretty easy install, save some time and get shark bite connectors! Water is definitely better tasting and cleaner than before.

So to install this you must cut out a portion of your main water piping , so you might want to hire a plumber if your not comfortable with that. Also I would highly recommend adding a shutoff right before the unit if there is not already one close by. The unit has to be mounted to the wall – but I didnt find these distances on the instructions- So to fit the mounting plate, the center line of the pipe needs to be between 1″ and 2-1/4″ from the wall for mounting. If you don’t already have a pipe running at the distance next to a wall than you will need to modify your piping.Finding a spot to install took more time to than the actually install, The installation is made DIY easy with adjustable mounting mounting plate and pressure fittings similar to shark bites that push to connect , all screws and fittings were included but had to buy a pipe cutter. Installing the filter was easy once I got the handle release lifted, but at first it felt a little stuck and took a pretty hard pull.The Cost of premium filter is more than I want to spend at $50, luckily there is more than one option so Instead I will stick with the advanced currently at $25.

I installed this today thought about $150 worth of parts to do what I needed My house being a newer home has the water line coming into the house inside the wall I had to cut the wall open to access the main water line it turned out pretty good but the instructions are terrible not clear on how to use it I had to try to figure out how to orientate it for vertical the instructions were very vague and didn’t even explain how to install the filter after I put it all together it didn’t seem right and realize that you have to lock in the filter and I couldn’t find that in the instructions, I have to say after the install the water does definitely taste better sweeter I’m glad that I did it. but frustrated with the instructions, Also don’t push the red button water spewed everywhere I’m not even sure what the red button is for I’m trying to find out in the instructions.

We noticed the water quality difference when we bought a new refrigerator with ice and water filtered. We choose the GE Heavy-Duty Household Water Filtration System to reduces sand, sediment and rust from our main water supply. Not wanting to loose water pressure this high-flow system with a 40 psi – 100 psi feed water-pressure tolerance works for us. A clear sump allows us to easy view the filter to monitor its condition. Canister wrench is included for easy filter changes. A bypass valve helps increase filter life when filtered water is not needed for outside watering use. This quick-connect system comes with hardware and installation kit. Filters water at the main supply in our basement out of sight. Premium filtration certified to reduce sediment, scale, dirt and rust in your water. Easy to install kit includes 1 in. plumbing connection, pressure relief valve, bypass option, mounting bracket and remote filter reminder light for simple installation and filter change. For best filtration results, filter should be replaced every 3-months. Uses replacement filter FXHTC or FXHSC. We are satisfied with this units performance.
