The Smart GE Whole House Filtration System is easy to install with push-to-connect fittings. Basic, Advanced, or Premium filter options are available for a custom level of filtration to fit your needs (filters each sold separately). Embedded wi-fi enables you to track water usage, detect water flow or potential leaks, shut on/off your home water supply and receive filter replacement reminders all from your smart phone (requires wifi signal at filter location).

The price of unit is fair, minus the additional parts required for install. Follow the steps to setup wifi, download the app from manual via device and follow steps. After install and running water for 30mins I already noticed a hugh difference in taste and smell due to city water. Will need GFCI receptacle located close for power of device.

My only disappointment is the flow rate is extremely low when water is filtered. Best feature is the shutoff, bypass, and filtered options right from your app. The water flow notifications are great too. If you are away from home and you get a high flow rate detected you can shut the water off from wherever you are.

This whole home water filtration system is the best I have ever used. And I have tried a few. This makes your water look, smell, and taste like bottled water. It has to be healthier for you then bottled water. Not sitting in a plastic bottle getting tho’s chemicals in it. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody looking for a great quality product.

We saw this ‘smart’ whole house water filter and the features cannot be beat. It monitors for leaks and since we had a $30,000 kitchen water leak, we have been looking at various monitoring systems to prevent a recurrence. This is a very high tech and we will know if we have a future leak from this unit and remote shut off the water. Neat stuff. The only reason I dinged the unit one star is that it really needs a way to daisy chain a second ‘non-smart’ unit for more water throughput. This unit is limited to 4 gpm and our bathtub alone can fill at 7gpm. Since the ‘smart’ part is always monitoring and handles water shut off, you only need that function once with the ability to run water through two cartridges and get up to 8gpm throughput. For now, we live with a slower filling tub with the peace of mind on the leak detection. Bonus, water does seem to taste better with the premium filter installed.

I had no problems installing this water filtration system myself after having read the directions. I installed and set up the app, also not too difficult. I’ve been using this for over 2 weeks now and I’ve very happy with it so far. This is best filtration system I’ve had in my house. I really like that it’s wireless and allows me to monitor water flow and leak detection from my phone. I did have to install an outlet next to this unit, but I am an electrician so that was no problem. My home is newer so there is no problems with the waterlines And they’re easily accessible. So far, but m impressed. I swear my water tastes better now.

Bought used, manual mode doesn’t work.Suggest redesign so that remote operation of valve via Wifi disabled if filter change arm is open.I think this is what disabled my manual mode.

I did not install mine, as I have old plumbing and the main source from city was in crawl space. I had a plumber install as well as a water softener. This is connected to the main line before any water even enters the house. All faucets, appliances, and hose hookups now have clean filtered water. This water is now better tasting and safer than any bottled water.

This whole house water filter is Wi-Fi connected which gives it some really great features that can save you a lot of money and headaches. You don’t need any extra devices to connect to your network as this model, GXWH70M has built in Wi-Fi. There are three different filter cartridges you can choose that range in price and the amount of things they filter..The most notable feature is that you can shut off the valve remotely using your phone provided the filter has power and is connected to the Internet, and the leak occurs downstream of the filter. If there’s a leak it can alert you. There are three different flow alerts and you can customize how long the leak has to occur before the alert is sent. There’s low, which would be something like a toilet running or faucet left on, medium which might be someone taking a shower or high which could be a burst pipe or multiple showers running. The app can also alert you if the pipes freeze.There are currently three different filters you can use with this filter system that range in price from $20 to $50 as I’m writing this. All the filters are tested and certified to NSF/ANSI standards – FTHPM is just a particulate filter that filters down to 30 microns. – FTHTM filters particles down to 5 microns and has carbon to reduce chlorine taste. – FTHLM filters particles down to 0.5 microns, chlorine as well as lead. The least expensive two filters have a pressure drop of 8-9 PSI while the FTHLM which also filters lead has a larger pressure drop of 25PSI. If you have low pressure to begin with and you want to filter lead this is important to keep in mind. Filters need to be changed every 3 months or 15-20 thousand gallons depending on the filter.The system is rated for 125PSI but they recommend addressing the pressure if the pressure is greater than 80PSI as nighttime pressure can exceed the specifications. The specs can change so check with your The kit comes with quick connect fittings to attach to 3/4″ pipe. The instructions are easy to follow but lacking when it comes to connecting the app or even which app you should use. A QR code would have been nice.If you want to be able to filter your water in your whole house so you have filtered water in all your faucets and showers this is a nice system that you can access from your phone. It can also alert you about a number of different conditions that can lead to a lot of damage in your home, thus potentially saving you a lot of money.

Seems nice but haven’t hooked it up yet because i had to go back to store and get filter. Why would a $200 water filter not come with filter in box? Instead in small print on one corner it says filter not included. Just a sugestion to GE that empty space inside the sump in the box can easily hold a filter. The kind that would be required to be there once you install!!

This whole house filter system is a great addition to my water system. I needed an efficient filtration system for my home and this is the system which I liked the most. The unit is fairly easy to install and comes with the hardware needed. What really makes this system great are the features it has. To replace the filter is very simple, the filter is secured with a lever that locks it in place. Also the filter itself is twisted on and will not fall out when releasing the cover. I really like that it has wireless which allows me to monitor filter life, water flow and leak detection from my phone. The app also lets you by pass the filter. The filter is not included because there are different filtering requirements. I’m using the premium filter

I’ve been excited to get the SMART WHOLE HOUSE WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM. Hired a plumber so the job would look professional. The plumber was very complimentary of the system, stating he had never seen one with Bluetooth. We were all set to install. However, there’s a water line problem at my home. The line from the meter is 150 ft. On top of that, the previous owner routed the line in an odd way. Bottom line. In order to install the GE Smart Whole Home Filtration, it would require digging up other piping, then running a new line another 50 ft. up my attic. The cost exceeds $1,000. Therefore, making the installation not cost effective. I really like the system design and Bluetooth technology, plus the positive reviews. Therefore, I’m giving it 5 Stars. Because of my water line issue, Sorry I will need to return the unit and opt for another filtration system that can be installed outside of the home.

Water filter works great. Easy to change the filter as well. Wifi set up was a bit tedious and took a few tries. The biggest disappointment is that the unit can not be shut off via the app… as it suggest on the box. With the app you can look back at your water usage each day as well as see the live gallons per minute being used.

I love my GE FTHTM water filter. First, you could tell an immediate difference in the water once the filter was installed, so much that I feel like I can cut significantly down on the amount of bottled water my household consumes.
