This is a must have if your doing drum brakes that don’t have a slot in the backing plate for an adjustment tool. Yes those do exist my 83 Chevy k10 truck is like that and the aftermarket drums don’t have the adjustment slot in the drum as did the originals. This works great for setting your shoe to drum clearance
