The Gearwrench tap and die set is well constructed and offers the ability to thread without having to constantly change your grip on the tool.The reverse switch on the tool is problematic because it is easy to accidentally bump and engage the switch when using the wrench.This tool saves time and effort when threading and comes in a nice case.

The durability, attractiveness , and ease of use of this wrench is great! One thing I would change if I was designing it would be to put a pilot hole on the top of the tap adapters for the use of a tap follower. I also wish It could have some type of level system to be able to start the taps straight. This is a really nice tool but it could be better,

As a machinist, I think “why would I need this?” But if you ever put your hands on one, you’ll never go back to normal tap handles. The ratchet action seems to keep me from flexing small taps as much while taping faster than with my standard tap handles.Small taps, only works up to M12 & 1/2-13 taps
