The GearWrench 7 piece axle nut set is a nice addition to any workshop. I occasionally work on several different manufacturers of vehicles and this axle nut set will come in handy. The extra long 1/2” drive 6 point metric sockets are very heavy duty. They can be used with an impact wrench, torque wrench or breaker bar. They range in size from 29mm to 38mm. Heavy duty and made to last.

A very nice Axle Nut Socket Set, with enough sizes of sockets to cover 90 percent of the axle nuts you will encounter. The sockets seem to be a good grade of steel and are designed so they can be used with an impact wrench or any 1/2 drive wrench. The metal is quite heavy and thick. The sockets use the “flank drive” type of drive to the nut so there is less chance of rounding off the nuts. The sockets are deep enough to accept almost all axle shafts. The size markings are etched into the socket so that the marking will not wear off, an are fairly easy to read. The sizes of the sockets are 29mm, 30mm, 32mm, 34mm, 35mm, 36mm, 38mm. The case is nice and compact and made decently so it should last well. All in all a nice set to have on hand if you work on multiple cars. Even if you are not working on axle shafts this makes a good set of larger, deep sockets.

Great tool to have! Especially for those major overhaul jobs. There’s nothing worse than having all of the tools you need for taking your transmission out or replace your axles, only to realize that you forgot about the large axle nuts. Bummer…

Recently bought a axle just to take apart and reassemble before I tore the one on my truck apart. After receiving this set i quickly opened and was impressed by the size and weight, these sockets should last a while. Had every size i needed to disassemble with out having to look at another set. Sockets held up great and with stood the strain that I can put tools through.

One of those tools that you didn’t know you needed until your repair job comes to a complete halt, because you need it! If you need to remove the hub because of a bad bearing or even to change a brake rotor, you will need the correct socket to take the nut off. This kit has all you will need to be prepared. Good quality for the price and will last the DIY guy for the rest of his career. Sturdy case keeps it all in one spot till you need it.

The Axle Nut Service Kit (7-Piece) from Gear Wrench include 7 metric impact sockets. The kit includes 29, 30, 32, 34, 35, 36, and 38 mm sockets designed for heavy duty use with a breaker bar or impact wrench with 1/2” adapter. These sockets are not to be confused for use with lug nuts, but for use on the large axle nuts (sometimes called crown nuts).Even though the kit is described as designed for axle nuts, obviously you can use them on any project that requires the specified-size sockets. These sockets have an extra deep well that makes them handy for lots of projects. The sockets area extremely heavy duty and should last a lifetime or more! Even the case they come in is clearly labeled.Having the right tool for the job can eliminate a lot of frustration. I will use this kit on my ATV and trailer to service the wheel bearings. This kit will save you money instead of paying for a mechanic for labor.

Nice heavy duty set to tackle most axle repair jobs. Easiest way to describe the quality is they are a classic gearwrench product. Well made and strong. Case is a nice touch. Works well with impact or breaker bar. These have held up very well in comparison with my smaller sockets. I have used most of them extensively on both impacts and torque wrenches and have not had any problems.

Heavy duty socket set, hosted in hard, plastic case to keep organized. Socket walls are made with sufficient material to support axle nut “breaking”. Also, socket size range covers a good number of potential axle nut options. While have not had to break axle nuts, I have used the sockets to work on other nuts, and found the “fit” is tight on the matching nut size – not a lot of play. A recommended socket set for the work bench.

Great sockets for the price! The socket walls are a little thicker and the finish isn’t as nice as more expensive options, but they get the job done.

The sockets are very heavy duty and fit securely around the nuts. The case is a nice addition to keep the metric nuts organized. These are wonderful for major work that a professional mechanic would use weekly. The few times I have used them, they have shown little wear. So I anticipate that they will last through many uses. Overall, just a wonderful tool to add to the work area.

O Snaps ! I just go my Axle nut Service kit. . And i am very happy with my order. I work on Trailer and some Lawn Equipment . We all know you can service Service front wheel drive cars and some SUV. But did you know you can change you ball mount on your trailer Receiver ? And service a lot of different Zero turn mower hubs. The cost of sending my mower to the shop is Expensive. so i do my own work .With this axle service kit, i can also service the trailer Axles. take a look a the bearing kit i just bought to service my trailer . Be sure to check your ball mount twice a year to make sure it tight. Safety First.
