I have been replacing old tools lately and I already have the Gearwrench metric 3/8″ drive socket set and I am happy with the quality so I decided to get this SAE set of 6-point sockets. They come on a handy storage rack which can hang from a hook. I like having the storage rack because it’s obvious when a socket is missing and it keeps them from rolling around in my toolbox. The quality of the sockets is impressive and the chrome finish is very high quality. Gearwrench makes really nice tools and they are priced reasonably.

Another good Gear wrench set to add to my toolbox.I recieved this six point 3/8 socket set recently. I put them through a torture test this weekend with a dissasembly of a very old rusty and stuck willys Jeep. I used them with my electric impact and ratchet. They have held up really well, I’m a life long mechanic and wish these sets would have been around all my years, I would have been able to afford many more tools. The set also come with a socket rack that seems durable but I have not dropped it from a lift yet. It is good for organizing on your tool cart. I will definitely go with the metric set also. Great for the garage or new mechanic. Lifetime warranty is a big plus also.

This 13 piece 6-point socket set has been a welcome addition to my to go tool bag. The set comes with a plastic storage strip that keeps the sockets together and organized. Each socket is clearly marked with their size which is very easy to read. The sockets are very well made with a chrome finish to keep them rust free. All sockets are 6-point instead of the usual 12-point which makes them even better at gripping the bolts or nuts you are working with. The sizes range from 1/4″ up to 1″ in 1/16″ increments. This set is a very good choice for the everyday DIY’R to have in their tool set.

I have had the same socket set for more than 40 years and it was time for a new set since mine was actually a collection of sockets left over from the original set and 30% replacements. Mine also did not go beyond 3/4 inch. This Gearwrench set seems nicely made and the holder is an improvement over my old one. I can either keep the sockets in my multi-drawer tool box most of the time or hang them above my workbench during a project. The holes in the holder allow you to hang it vertically or horizontally. The 3/8″ black stems on the holder keep the spacing where the socket in use will go back in place in the correct order. That’s another improvement over the tapered tray of my old set. Chrome plating seems first rate so overall I am very pleased.

This 6-Point Standard Socket Set (13-Piece) by GearWrench is a serious set of tools. The 13 sockets range in size from ¼” to 1” in 1/16” increments. The included storage rack is well made. The sockets are well identified as SAE with a double line and the easy-to-read engraved sizes are framed in a hexagon. The six-point design really grips nuts and bolts and allows you to put some extra force behind your tool. The bevel on the sockets really works and aligning the sockets with nuts and bolts is quick and simple. There is also the lifetime warranty that you’ll most likely never need. If you’re like me, you’re going to misplace them before you ever break any of them. I tried them out on my garden tractor’s dump cart and found that there really is a difference. I think I’m going back for the metric set. Three eighths drive sockets are just plain handy.

This 13 piece socket set is a good addition for any DIYer’s tool supply. They are easily identified with the double line to show they are SAE so no worries about misplacing them as metric. They come with a rail tray to store them so they will be sorted in order ready for you to use. These are all 3/8 in. drive standard SAE 6 point sockets and range in size from 1/4 inch to 1 inch.

I received my GearWrench 3/8 in. Drive SAE 6-Point Standard Socket Set. There are 13 pieces in this set. Plus it comes with a socket slide rail to help keep them organized and together. I really like the rail and the way at holds the socket. It has a little spring ball just like a ratchet or extension would have. The sizes in this socket set are 1/4″ to 1″. The only thing that I can see that could be improved with the sockets are make the sizes easier to read.

This Gear Wrench 3/8 in. Drive SAE 6-Point Standard Socket Set (13-Piece) is a useful set to keep in the car or in a handy place in the garage. I like to try to do things myself before calling in the help of a mechanic and this set provides most of the sizes needed for intermediate auto repairs. The set comes with 6-point standard sockets (1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1 / 2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8, 15/16, and 1 in.). I would like to point out that this set includes a rail type socket holder to carry the sockets while they are not in use or mount them to the wall. Manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty.

I have been a builder and remodeler for 50 years, and of course I often have a need to use a ratchet, 3/8” drive. So when I saw this, the GEARWRENCH 3/8 IN. DRIVE SAE 6-POINT STANDARD SOCKET SET (13-PIECE), I was interested. I often use sockets in my work, I prefer 6 point sockets, and I’ve always liked the gear wrench tools. I like this set, especially with the 6 points, and the gear wrench brand in general is always nice quality too. I definitely recommend this!

Better than sliced bread. If you need a good quality, inexpensive set of standard six point chromes in 3/8 drive, you can’t go wrong here. Nice chrome finish, heavy duty, great knurled surface for light torque applications. Easy to identify. Fitment is great. Easy to clean up. Great storage rack is included, you could tie them to a work bench, bottom of your tool box or on a wall like I did. GEE I could go on and on but Gear Wrench continues to impress me.
