Like having a large selection of sizes from very small to large. Using to maintain service work on my motorcycle. Well made and love the holder so I can keep them all together and not all over my tool box. Very happy with purchase!

This metric hex socket set is a great set. It is great to have a set all together in one set. It is hard to find a bigger set of of hex sockets all together. You don’t need to hex sockets that often but when you do need them especially the bigger sizes it is hard to find them. Having a full set makes it easier to take care of your projects or jobs efficiently.

Very useful set of hex bits from GearWrench. Like basically all GearWrench sockets this is another quality made set. This 12 piece set comes with hex sockets sized 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, &12mm so all your important sizes are included within this set. The sockets themselves are chrome with easy to read craving into the base of the socket. The sockets are kept in GearWrench’s nice socket slide rails which is really a nice feature because the rail is easy to store and you know that your sockets are going to fall off the rail.Overall the usage of the hex bits was impressive and they held up well to the uses i put it through. Super easy to attach and remove from a ratchet and are well built that the hex bits don’t get damaged under heavy usage.I would recommend this set is you are looking for a hex bit socket set. You can’t go wrong with the quality of the set plus the lifetime warranty.

Set includes metric sizes 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12,14,17. This seems to be a great set, with a rail that holds the sockets firmly, but not ridiculously hard. The larger sizes are especially helpful, since most l keys don’t come this big, and who would want to lug them around anyway? Overall very satisfied with them. There is some size skips but for 99% of most uses that will require a metric hex socket set, this set will cover it.

Great set of Hex Bit sockets. These range from 2 mm up to 12 mm. They come with a handy socket holder that can be attached to the wall or just used to keep them in order in the tool box. They have a Chrome Vanadium Mirror Finish with a good grip to either get the screw started or finished after it’s been loosened. Pretty much all the metric sizes one would need for a home owner is included in this set.

The 12 piece, 3/8 in. Drive Metric Hex Bit Socket Set from GearWrench has some special things about it that I really like. First, they come in good chrome plating that is easy to wipe off and clean. Second they come with their own socket holder that holds the pieces securely. The pieces can be turned to where the numbers can be easily read from one side. But most of all is the GearWrench name. always trusted them to make quality tools.

These GearWrench metric hex sockets are best in class. They are machined to high precision and endure heavy usage better than their competitors. I use mine in a manufacturing environment where they are used to repair machines quickly. Tools that function well, like these, are highly sought after. I have used less expensive equivalents but find I get frustrated when they don’t work as efficiently. When I’m pressed for time, I need high quality tools.

Gearwrench 12pc. Metric Hex Bit Socket Set includes a nice socket slide rail holder that allows it to be hung or screwed down. Each socket is marked well with the number engraved in the base of the socket. The base also includes some nice striations to help grip the socket. They appear to be excellent quality. The set includes 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm and 12mm metric hex bit sockets. I like them.

This is my second set of Gearwrench drivers (the other being a socket set). Now, first thing’s first, I’m confused by the name: “hex bit socket”. Seems like a misnomer to me – isn’t this just a hex bit set, and the other product I have from Gearwrench a socket set? Anyway, semantics aside, this is a quality kit, however you refer to it. I used it to assemble some furniture, and I was very impressed that I was able to drive some pretty small hex screws (4mm) with my impact driver without coming close to stripping them. That goes to show that these bits have very high tolerances (good hex screws help too). The storage rack is handy, particularly if you have a pegboard (which I don’t), and while rearranging the bits is a pain (you have to take them all off), you can actually pull individual bits off of the slide-on mount without removing all of them. It’s pretty smart, although I personally like clamshell cases more.Overall, I’m very impressed with this kit. The price is more than fair given that you’re getting 12 quality pieces, although I know some of these sizes will be rarely used, so perhaps a slightly smaller kit could be a better value by excluding some of the really large bits and some of the very small ones. I also think that the very small sizes should be longer, because typically when you’re using something like a 2mm hex bit, you’re putting it in a tight spot, where you need a bit more reach. I uses hexes like that all the time in one of my hobbies, and this kit is just too short to be of much use. Then again, you don’t need a 3/8 drive and an impact driver for hexes that small either, so I do have to wonder what the point of including 2mm and 2.5mm drivers is.Overall, though, despite my concerns about the size and length of some of the bits, the overall kit is very high quality, and a great companion to a high-powered impact driver.

Quite often machine parts include bolts with hexagonal sockets in their heads. While screws and bolts with this unique head have been around for over a hundred years, their use has been increasing it seems. GearWrench is quickly becoming a trusted name in hand tools due to the quality and features. It is also nice to know that they carry a manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty. This 3/8 inch Metric set includes 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 7 mm, 8 mm, 9 mm, 10 mm, 11 mm, and 12 mm sockets. This is a complete set. It does not skip any in-between sizes. The size on each piece is clearly marked on the bright chrome finish. Each socket is stored on a holder which allows slide room for easy removal and replacement. A glance at the rack holder after finishing a job quickly shows if a socket is missing from the set.

I received my Gear wrench 3/8 -inch drive metric hex bit socket set today; it’s a twelve-piece set that goes from 2 mm to 12mm.They come on an excellent plastic socket rail with a spring-loaded ball bearing for retention. They work great in cramped places, and I have used them with an electric impact wrench.Like all GearWrench tools, these have a lifetime guarantee. Overall these hex bit sockets will come in very handy and are a must-have for your toolbox.
