I got this set and thought that it would be a good addition to my tool chest and that I could certainly find a use for these. No sooner did I get them in than a use popped up right away. I had to help my grandson take out his fuel tank and some of the screws were hex head. We snapped the proper size on the 3/8 ratchet and out they come. Makes removing and installing this type of fastener a snap. Well made, chrome plated sockets with an organizer to keep everything in order. Nice tool set. Glad I got it!

This is a great set of Hex heads to have in the tool bag. They are easy to read as far as size goes and this kit has almost every size that you will ever need unless its something very special. The socket holder holds the sockets for easy storage or so you can get to the one that you need very easily. They fit the standard socket head very nicely and are tight. Due to the different sizes this is a handy tool to have around. I would recommend this from the DIY’er to the professional. Great Tool.

Just received this great set of hex sockets and couldn’t be happier. Most DIY people think a regular socket set is enough to get by with until you lug home a big piece of furniture and it comes with all the hardware and one single hex key. Throw that away, pop one of these onto your drill and enjoy all the time you’ll save with assembly. This set is just what I needed, each piece has a good weight to it, they’re chromed nicely, and the number stamping on each piece is easy to read. And they even come with their own socket rail for easy storage. Each socket snapped firmly into my ratchet with virtually no play once locked in. More than enough sizes ensures you’ll always have the right one for the job. And you’ll be surprised at how often you’ll find a use for these.

The Hex drive set is well made and stacks neatly on the holder that it came with. I’ve never had a socket HEX set I always used the regular HEX wrench. Sockets are nice because you can attach them to a ratchet and work so much faster. You can get more force on the screw and add extensions if you need to. You will love adding one of these sets to your tool box.

Hex bit sockets are very useful for projects that feature hex head screws. You typically see them in self assembly products like furniture. If you are tired of using the little hex wrench that comes in the furniture package, this is the solution for you. This GearWrench set features 12 sockets from 1/16 inch to 3/8 inch using a 3/8 inch drive. Stamping on the socket is easy to read. The socket base is nicely chromed with no defects that I could find. The hex portion is pressed into the socket so these should not be used with impact wrenches. The set comes with a plastic sliding storage rail that can be wall mounted. The sockets snapped onto the rail and stayed in place. The mount points in the rail slide around easily. The edges of the hex are ground at a slight angle to make inserting them easier.

I think I was putting together some patio furniture the other day with the crummy hex key that came in the nut & bolts pack, and thought that I just gotta’ get some good hex sockets. I got the 12-piece GEARWRENCH 3/8″ DRIVE SAE HEX BIT SOCKET SET. Okay, I’m not familiar with GEARWRENCH, except I’ve seen them sponsor some race cars, and they may be affiliated with APEX Tools, which is right down the street.Anyway, the hex sockets are chromed beauties, sturdy, and you can read the size without your bifocals. I can’t read them with my bifocals actually… but they are big enough!

This is a nice set for light to medium duty. Because the hex bits are pressed into a round hole, I would not recommend them for heavy duty. I have had sockets like these have the bits strip out on my when tightening lugs on electrical panels.I mainly use these, and the metric version, when I need to assemble furniture-in-a-box. They work well with a socket adapter in my drill/driver.With the torch set right, I don’t have to worry about stripping the screws out. The sets give me a wider range them the hex bits you find in bit sets.

Nice set that is great to have in the toolbox or on the work bench. I am the go to person in my family for furniture assembly and other things that have to be put together. This set helps with speeding up the process. I purchased a 3/8th drive adaptor to use with my drill that works great.I do have the torque setting at a lower number to avoid overdoing it and twisting off head. Set for the price is a deal and includes many common sizes.Time saver and well made.

VERY HANDY bits to have! I often find I need to assemble ( or disassemble ) machines or furniture that require hex head wrenches. But doing that by hand takes forever. I tried using standard hex attachments in a cordless drill, but they are either too short or two long. These attach to my right angle driver, so they get into tight spaces. The cordless driver does all the work, which saves my aching back and hands, plus saves a ton of time. I like them so much, I’m buying another set so I have BOTH Imperial and Metric.
