All I can say is this 1/2 inch drive 6 point ratchet and socket set is perfect for the bigger jobs like working on my tractor and equipment. It is a very dependable on getting the job done and the 6 point sockets don’t slip. I been buying these Gearwrench tools and not regretting one of them, they are just as good as all the high dollar hand tools other folks sell for way more money and just as good in quality and dependability. If you haven’t tried Gearwrench do it you wont regret it.

I am reviewing the GearWrench 1/2” drive SAE ratchet and socket set. This set comes in a durable black plastic case. The case holds the sockets, ratchet handle, and both extension rods securely. The sizes of each socket is labeled on the case, which makes finding the right sized socket easy. The chrome coating on the tools looks great! There is no slop in the ratchet. The direction lever moves easily and stays in position. The sockets and extension rods mount and separates from the ratchet with just the right amount of force. One nice feature is the extension rods have a knurled section that can be used to grip the rod with another tool. I am very pleased with this set and would recommend it to others.

Another quality set of sockets with ratchet from GearWrench. The set comes with 12 standard sockets ranging in all the critical sizes you would need, two extensions bars (5′ & 15′) and the 84 tooth 1/2 inch ratchet. The set is polished chrome with stamped size on each socket which is super easy to read.The sockets have the 6 points of contact. The sockets are very tough and quality made as many have have come to expect from GearWrench. However, if something were to go wrong with your set they are covered by a lifetime warranty. The ratchet and extension bars are very nice and well made. The ratchet on/off switch has the right amount of hold in it and is flush with the back of the ratchet head. The ratchet head is also teardrop shaped which I like because I think it makes getting in tight spaces easier. The only downside to this set is the case itself. Its just a plastic case with no holds for your sockets so if you open it upside down everything is going to come spilling out. But really that is nothing big because you buy a socket and ratchet set for the sockets and ratchet and both in this set are excellent.Overall this is a quality set that GearWrench backs up with a lifetime warranty. You really can’t go wrong picking this set up.

When you have a project that required working with larger bolts and nuts, this is a set that works! VERY nice action for breaking loose larger nuts and bolts. Firm grip, nice action, good leverage to loosen AND tighten those larger nuts and bolts. Only con is the set is made in Taiwan, so we’ll see how it holds us. So far, no complaints, no breakage. GREAT storage case!

This is a nice set of sockets. I like the size difference in this set as I can use it for anything from small bolts around the house to as large as car lug nuts (and larger). This would be a great set for someone doing home repair or repairing their vehicle. The set includes two extensions (a 5” and a 15”). The ratchet is very solid, and the gear is tight which makes it easy to operate precisely. The included sockets are 7/16” up to 1-1/8” and they increase every 16th. The finish is a highly polished chrome which makes keeping them clean easier. The sockets are 6 point which is good for applying maximum pressure to stuck nuts and bolts. The case is clearly marked for each piece making it easy to replace them in the correct spot. The case also holds all the pieces securely for easy transport. Overall, this is a great set for any homeowner looking to maintain their home, equipment or vehicle.

I am very impressed with my Gearwrench 1/2 in. drive 6-point SAE and socket set. I got the 15 piece set. What a beauty. For one, I was not familiar with brand at all. Looks and feels strong for super duty. tight grip. Very comfortable. Cam with the case. Super easy to clean. Love the low profile and performance head ratchet that is longer than most ratchets for added leverage. The sockets have serration depth as deep as the fastener and are large hard stamped for easy identifications. Just beautiful

This set has all you might need to work on nuts or bolts that require a socket and ratchet set. The set contains all the sockets you will need between 7/16″ and 1 1/8″ They are 6 point sockets so they will grip a nut or bolt with plenty of surface and will not slip like a cheaper 12 point socket. The ratchet is tough and has plenty of heft. It’s long enough to provide plenty of torque to loosen any nut or bolt. The extensions are nice and attach firmly to the wrench. 2 different lengths provide the reach you may need. This is a really nice set for the home mechanic or even for the professional. The chrome plating allows for easy clean up and a nice appearance. The case is nice heavy duty plastic and is easy to store in your tool chest or on a shelf.

This is a great set that came with the ratchet as well as all of the sockets. It is a great set because it comes with a case and everything is in one place. Also is comes with lots of different sizes all in one set so you don’t have look in multiple places to find what you are looking for. The ratchet and the sockets are well made and sturdy. This is a high quality socket set that comes in handy when you need more torque than you can get with a 3/8 drive socket set. The highly polished finish on the sockets, ratchet and extensions attest to the quality. The set runs from 7/16 to 1 1/8 inch in 1/16 increments and includes a 5in and 15in extension. The sockets are 6 point which minimizes the chance of rounding nuts and bolts.

Good solid set of sockets and it’s heavy duty. I have a few lighter sets for every day but these will be good for heavy jobs like getting a hex bolt into a stud. The material is solid and it comes in a sturdy case. The only thing lacking is a handle on the storage case. Makes it a bit difficult to carry around if you have other tools in your hand, otherwise I would have given this set 5 stars. Overall it was a nice add to my assortment of tools and socket sets!
