Great ratchet made by Gear Wrench. Well made and heavy duty . 1/4 inch drive flex head ratchet. 8 inches long . Can flex up to 90 degrees left or right and any position in between. Great for working in tight awkward positions. Also has a low profile head and not a big bulking head like some ratchets have. Locking mechanism on the head gives you the option to lock it straight or in any of the 9 positions it lets you use simply by pushing the locking lever to the right or left. There are some great features in the tool and will come in handy to reach into tight and difficult areas to get the job done. Comes in a bright shiny chrome finish that will not corrode and will last for years. Solvent resistance handle grip for durability, resists oil, gas, and other chemicals . I highly recommend this ratchet, well worth it,

GEARWRENCH 1/4 IN. DRIVE 90-TOOTH DUAL MATERIAL 8 IN. LOCKING FLEX HEAD TEARDROP RATCHETI normally don’t like the locking flex head ratchets because they end up locking when you want it unlocked. This one stay unlocked Until I was ready to lock it backIt’s has a lot more locking angles than most ratchets The soft grip handle is comfortable. The 90 tooth head makes it great in tight places and gives if a very smooth action. This will probably be my new favorite 1/4 inch drive ratchet.

There are two features that set this ratchet apart from any other one I own. First is the 90 tooth ratchet drive which means you only have to move the handle about 6 degrees to engage the next tooth – very handy in close spots! The next advantage is the lock on the handle. When you set the handle at an angle, you simply move the lever and never have to deal with losing your setting when repositioning the socket on the nut or bolt. This is a definite “recommend”.

Awesome little ratchet! I broke my old 1/4 inch ratchet a while back and did not realize how much I used it until it was broken. I have been using Gearwrench tools for a while now and find them to be excellent value. While I am not a mechanic, I probably use tools more that the average person. This ratchet has a rubberized grip that is oil and solvent resistant and feels good in the hand. It is comfortable and prevents slipping especially when working with smaller sized tools. I really like the 90 tooth drive with a 4 degree swing arc that is super smooth. And the 180 degree flex head is great for working in tight places. Ditto for the low profile teardrop head. The ratchet is really nicely finished in chrome with a recessed/flush easy to operate direction selector. Nice addition to the tool chest.

This 1/4″ Gear Wrench Ratchet is great, the handle tilts back and forth and will lock in place. Very easy to use, handles very well. Great tool to have in your tool box, great tool to get at hard to get at places. Gear wrench makes some great tools to have and use. I’ve used it for getting into hard to reach places in my carand around the house. The longer handle makes it easy to break small bolts, so be careful.

GEARWRENCH 1/4 IN. DRIVE 90-TOOTH DUAL MATERIAL 8 IN. LOCKING FLEX HEAD TEARDROP RATCHET is a great ratchet. I love the 90 tooth design. The flex head is a good design also. As a mechanic I use a lot of rachets and I prefer a different band cause of the handle design. The handle on this on this one could be a little thicker but its still a real nice and comfortable rachet. It seems the to be very durable.

The Gearwrench 1/4 in socket wrench with 90 degree swivel head is what every garage with tools already in it needs! This is my first swivel head and I love it! It seems very sturdy with the head of it at a 45 degree angle. I used it to work on my four wheeler suspension and it made those tight areas between control arms and brake parts easy to swing up and away from. Gearwrench hasnt failed me on any products yet!

Sweet 1/4 inch drive socket with swivel head, you can set the angle with a plastic locking tab to hold it at the angle you need to get near the object without scraping off your knuckles when loosening or tightening the nut of bolt. Ratchet has a high number of points so that you can set the socket in a tight spot and work the head in small increments as needed. Here I was replacing a bent motor cap and swiveled the handle away from the vents so as to save my knuckles. 🙂

The GEARWRENCH ¼” Drive 90-Tooth Dual Material 8” Locking Flex Head Teardrop Ratchet packs a lot of features. Yes, the head flexes, and it can be locked in all but the two fully perpendicular positions. At 8 inches it’s a nice length allowing you to apply a bit more torque than with a standard ¼” ratchet. That’s really nice especially when working with the larger sockets. The ratchet is well made and has a professional feel. With the flex head it is quite versatile. In the flat position it is a lot like other ratchets but for the extra torque that you can apply due to the extra length. The flex head really does make working in awkward positions less awkward. I found that it also made things easier in a couple of situations where I didn’t necessarily need the flex head. It really shines in tight spots, but I don’t see me tossing that cute little knuckle device that came with my ratchet set just yet (Each seems to have its own set of advantages.). I’ll bet this would be interesting mated to a ¼” drive Crow’s Foot wrench. The orange and black handle provides a nice, comfortable, yet secure grip. I haven’t had a chance to muck it up yet but being solvent resistant is a nice touch. The cam that’s used to switch directions is succinctly and noticeably labeled “On” and “Off”. I don’t know that I’ve seen that before and I like it. I wonder if I’ll get out of the habit of holding the socket and checking which direction the shaft is positively linked to the handle? Otherwise, this is my first flex head tool and I’m quite impressed. I think this guy needs a couple of friends in my toolbox.
