This Gearwrench 8 inch in 3/8 inch drive with 90-tooth compact head in a teardrop ratchet is a well made tool that should last a long time. It has a smooth action in its motion and a positive ratcheting action and features an easy to use clockwise and counter clockwise selector switch. It comes with a lifetime warranty that you will probably never need as this tool is sturdy.

When they say compact, they aren’t kidding! This thing can fit into very small spaces that I had to use a 1/4″ ratchets in before! It has a high tooth count and a really small arc swing, all of these things make this a winner. You really can make micro adjustments with it in confined spaces!I was changing brake pads on my car recently and was using my old ratchet, I cant wait to use this next time and be able to fit without a problem! I have used this on a number of other projects already and love how it performs. I can fit this ratchet with a socket into places a normal ratchet couldn’t dream of.This is my first time owning anything from Gearwrench but I will certainly be back!

The Gearwrench 8 inch 3/8 inch drive 90-Tooth compact head teardrop ratchet is a nice addition to your tool box. With this ratchet you can reach in tighter places and because it has a 90 tooth gear you don’t have to move the handle very far to get another bite. I would say maybe about 1 inch of movement is enough to reach the next tooth on the gear. The wrench has a nice smooth chrome finish so it’s easy to clean with just the wipe of a towel. It also come with a lifetime warranty from Apex Tool Group.

The Gear wrench 8 inch with 3/8 inch drive with 90-tooths compact head teardrop ratchet allows for getting into smaller spaces than normal size 3/8 inch drive ratchets… The 90-tooth head allows for more turning of bolts and nuts with each turn of the ratchet.. One big draw back is that it does not have a quick release button for removal of sockets.

This is designed with tight spaces in mind. The head of the ratchet offers a compact head design to use in all those tight spaces. It also offers 90 teeth on its ratchets that only goes 4 degrees per click. I compared this with what I consider a standard length and is about the same, approximately 8 3/8 end to end. It’ll fit many needs in my Gear Wrench tool box. 3/8″ drive and my sockets fit nice and tight and provided for easy, but positive removal. Only eye popper was it is a product of Taiwan but finished in mainland China. I would recommend this compact head ratchet!

GEARWRENCH 8 IN. 3/8 IN. DRIVE 90-TOOTH COMPACT HEAD TEARDROP RATCHETBig fan of the compact head it’s about the same thickness as there 1/4 inch drive ratchet. You don’t realize how much more room there is with the compact design until you get to that bolt where a regular ratchet won’t fit with a regular socket. The slim head design slips right end. Definitely recommend this ratchet it’s a really nice ratchet doesn’t bind up like cheap ones do. Will definitely be getting a compact flex head ratchet to add to my collection.

Just another great tool from Gearwrench. If you like tools like i do you are always looking for the next tool. Something that make working on your latest project just a little easier. This new ratchet from gear wrench fills that void. It is the sise of that typical 1/4 drive rachet with a 3/8 drive which gives you access to larger sizes. The 90 tooth head makes it easier to use in tight spots. Gearwrench makes quality tools that done break the bank. Cant go wrong with this ratchet. I added photos that compare typical ratchets to show size difference.

This was a perfect ratchet replacement for me in my tool kit. Mine had given up the ghost but I never liked my old one because the ratchet head was big. This ratchet is much better; the head is small so it fits in tight places plus it is light in the hand. The ratchet motion starts with even a small arc to go back and forth in. I used it on a project; I found it to handle nicely. It felt balanced in my hand. I used a couple of different socket brands on it and it was a tight fit meaning I had to push down hard on the sockets. They fit but getting them on was not popping them on. Not a big thing but it slows you down a bit when swapping sockets in and out. The ratchet action is nice; it has a different feel and sound to my older ratchets. In a really tight spot, this is a good ratchet. For me this was a good choice plus it has a lifetime warranty. I use my tools enough on three cars and I’ve had my ratchets in pretty tight spaces. This will be my go-to ratchet under the car for sure. This is a good addition to anyone’s toolbox and remember, the ratchet head is smaller than most and how many times have we all wished we had a smaller ratchet in tight spaces? This is the one. I expect it to last for a long while.

The head of the ratchet is smaller than many, however, it also fits into tight places where others do no, and where you cannot use an extension. The 90 tooth feature is a real blessing in those tight places as it allows you to wrench off the nut or bolt in longer strokes than one with coarser teeth. You can get 3-5 clicks on this ratchet where the coarse ones get only on or maybe two clicks depending on the room for ratcheting the nuts. Nice an polished tool as well helps to keep it clean and wipe off grease and dirt.

This is a 3/8 in drive with an effective leverage of 8”. The 8” handle translates to 3/4 times the pulling force into foot-pounds torque. In my test, I was able to create 85 foot-pounds of torque on the 3/8” adapter. It seemed to take the load and work fine. The head of this wrench is 1” in diameter which allows it to work in cramped spaces. The ratchet has 90 teeth. Assuming you need two clicks to advance along with having 3/4″ room for your fingers, you would need only a little less than 2” clearance to advance the ratcheting. (Although it would take an eternity to tighten a nut fully onto a bolt with a 2”clearance). I tested the 3/8 head with a variety of brands of sockets. The wrench was stiff in inserting a socket and somewhat difficult to remove. This was true for 3 brands: Craftsman, Snap-on, and Husky. It has a very polished surface and was comfortable to use for large and small hands. Lifetime Warranty. Overall very nice.
