This is a very sturdy and hefty tool.I like the fact that it’s a 3/8” drive. The 12” length is very convenient. You can use this also in hard to reach places. It also works great on hard to remove bolts. I had a hard time taking off the bolt to my lawnmower blade. My regular socket wrench was not doing the job. When I used the breaker bar, I was able to remove the bolt This saved me a trip to the shop, as well as the expense.

This is a good intermediate 12 inch breaker bar. The finish is nice and the strength is there to pop lose a tough nut. I like the thicker fork area by the swivel head. The pin is also thicker, so this thing can take some torque. My only complaint is because the handle is a little thin for my hands. This is more of a personal preference than a flaw. I just like to pull on a comfort grip handle rather than one that is tapered. I expect this to last as long as my other Gearwrench tools that I have had over 15 years plus.

This 3/8 inch drive breaker bar is shiny and sturdy! At 12 inches long it can help loosen smaller to medium sized nuts and bolts. A longer handled tool may be needed for really tough jobs, or you can slide a pipe over the handle to get more leverage.Pros:• Entirely chrome plated to resist rust.• Head pivots 180 degrees for hard to reach places.• Sturdy, solid, well built.• Comfortable tapered handle.• Sockets are held securely and pull off easily by hand as well.• Fits easily in a tool box at 12 inches long.Cons:• May not have enough leverage for large or severely rusted bolts.

This breaker bar is a pretty standard design. The bar is a good length for a little added leverage. It is a good weight so you can tell it is sturdy. The chrome finish is nice. One thing that I wish would be different is the handle. It is smooth so if you are using this for an automotive repair and your hands get greasy the handle will become slippery. The handle is also a little thin for bigger hands. Overall I do like this bar.

Last year I installed 2”x4” pressure treated wood as borders in our garden area. My wife did not like where installed them so I had to reconfigure them yesterday during a dry spell here in St Louis. I installed them with lag bolts after predrilling the holes. Well, using the same 3/8” ratchet to take out the lag bolts I did not have enough leverage to take out the bolts, especially since after the winter the boards swelled and made the bolts super tight. I used the 3/8” breaker bar which is 4” longer than the ratchet I used to install the bolts and I was able to take out those bolts easily!!I kept the packaging that I received it. And it hangs up on my pegboard. Very handy for keeping it organized. With the chrome finish it was easy to clean.

Perfect sized breaker bar. This is now my 3rd breaker bar that I own, and quite possibly my favorite. The 3/8in drive makes it straight forward to use with 90% of my sockets, when before I kept having to use my 1/2in breaker bar with adapters.Construction is fantastic with no give on the head of the unit itself. The swivel at the end feels solid and I trusted in it when applying a solid amount of torque to get some of these over tightened bolts off.The 12″ length is perfect. I do several junk yard runs through out the month and this fits perfectly in my mobile tool bag. Though the longer the breaker bar the better, this is a good middle point that allows me to get a good leverage on some difficult bolts. The smaller size also allows for you to get into those hard to reach places. I’m happy to know that the stress of loosening bolts can be taken away from my rachet wrenches.Overall very pleased, the polished chrome finish is also very nice!

Heavy Duty 3/8 Breaker Bar.This 12″ breaker bar is a nice size and a great addition to any toolbox. It is not designed to be the longest, strongest breaker bar, it’s a smaller bar for tight spaces. I put this thing to the test by really jerking on it and even putting most of my body weight on it just to test it out. No sign of failure. I was able to pop lug nuts loose, some rusty fasteners and easily straighten the bar out and spin it like a screwdriver. Very pleased with this small bar. Nice chrome finish and a comfortable handle that doesn’t dig into your hand. Sockets clip on and stay on securely but also remove smoothly when needed. The only thing I wish gearwrench incorporated was some detents on the swivel head so the socket would hold itself at say 90• angle, but I quickly got over it and love this little bar. I would recommend it.

Ive always liked GearWrench tools. It began with a set of ratcheting wrenches and since then ive gotten a lot more of their tools, never had a bad experience. Simple little breaker bar but just big enough for those tough bolts. Chrome finish is nice, machining on the handle is well done and fits the hand well. Pivot action on the head is precise. No complaints.

This is a really good breaker bar because of the length of 12 in.
