- Blow mold tray provides perfect storage and each cavity is conveniently marked
- Flare nut wrench is also know as a line wrench
- Flare nut wrench is used for gripping the nuts on the ends of tubes, it is similar to a box-end wrench but, instead of encircling the nut completely, it has a narrow opening just wide enough to allow the wrench to fit over the tube, and thick jaws to increase the contact area with the nut, this allows for maximum contact on plumbing nuts, which are typically softer metals and therefore more prone to damage from open-ended wrenches

The GearWrench SAE Flare Nut Wrench Set has a highly polished finish and come in a molded tray. They fit nicely around a tubing fitting and the jaws hold their shape even when the fittings are extremely tight, unlike a less quality set I have had in the past. These are made in China but appear to be quality tools. The sizes are easily read. The six piece set comes in the following sizes: 1/4” x 5/16”, 3/8” x 7/16”, 1/2” x 9/16”, 5/8” x 11/16”, 5/8” x 3/4” (which is a surprise addition), and 3/4” x 7/8”. I would order these wrenches again!

GearWrench’s six piece flare nut wrench set is a great starter set or to supplement the wrenches you have lost over the years. The wrenches are clearly marked on both sides and easy to read. Each of the six wrenches has two different sizes. It is like having twice as many tools in half the space. The flared heads help to protect your hands from cuts and bruises.

The GearWrench SAE Flare Nut Wrench Set (6-Piece) Model # 81907 is a set of wrenches similar to a box-end wrench but manufactured with a section of the box end left open. It’s a very useful mechanics tool to gain access to a fitting such as a brake line, fuel line, or any type of cable. This set includes sizes of 1/4 in. to 7/8 in. increasing in increments of 1/16th in. Included is a Blow Mold tray with sizes conveniently marked that fits neatly in a rollaway drawer. GearWrench supports this product with a Manufacturers Limited Lifetime Warranty.

GearWrench set provides a good range of capabilities for nut sizes, and the wrench ends fit well around the nuts. Especially with the larger wrenches, the grip is long enough to enable pressure on the nut without fear of slipping and damaging one’s knuckles. The storage box provides a marked place for each wrench, but it does require light on the dark surface to easily see the size markings. Recommended as a good additional to the home garage tool box.

GearWrench 6 pc flare nut wrench set with case. Very nice tool set. Handy to have when working on gas and brake lines. The wrenches are well made and strong. Excellent chrome plating. The sizes are stamped in on each wrench and readable. One nice feature is the storage box also has the sizes molded into it which makes finding the correct wrench even easier. The storage box fits neatly in my tool box drawer so I can easily keep things organized and find them. I am really pleased with this set.

I received my GearWrench SAE Flare Nut Wrench Set. There are 6 wrenches in the set. The wrenches look pretty nice. I tried them on my fuel line and the wrench fits over the fuel line and it works good. The 15 degree offset makes them easier to use. I noticed that there are duplicate sizes in this kit which are 3/4 and 5/8. It would make more sense to have a 13/16 and a 15/16 in the kit instead of the duplicate sizes. I guess the engineers that designed this kit forgot their fractions? The wrenches have a limited lifetime warranty.

The Gearwrench flare nut wrench set is a must have in any toolbox. The finish is superb (see the attached pictures) and the quality is typical for the Gearwrench hand tools. A flare nut wrench is mostly used on fasteners that are made of soft metal. This helps to reduce the odds of stripping the nuts. This is great for using with any nuts that have a hose attached. The set comes with a nice plastic holder so you don’t have to place loose tools unorganized in your tool chest. The tool is well made and an excellent value.

This is a great set of flare nut AKA line wrenches with an outstanding chrome finish. I was in the middle of replacing a brake line on my truck when these arrived. I noticed no flex when putting a lot of force on the wrench to tighten lines. They come with a nice hard plastic case that makes it easy to keep them organized during storage. No question these are high quality and with the finish they are easy to clean. A must have for any general mechanic.

I Like this GearWrench 6-Pc. SAE Flare Nut Wrench Set. The set includes 6 double ended wrenches in 12 sizes, ranging from ¼ in. to 7/8 in. They come in a plastic tray with clearly marked sizes for each wrench, making it easy to keep them organized. Like most GearWrench Tools, these wrenches are high quality and have a nice polished finish, making them easy to clean. I always prefer flare nut wrenches for use with fittings on tubing, whether flare nuts or compression fittings. This set will definitely outlast me and will be passed down to another generation. I just wish GearWrench Tools were MADE in USA.
