I received my GearWrench SAE Combination Wrench Set with a roll up pouch. The wrench set contains 18 pieces. These wrenches are longer than standard wrenches so you can get more leverage with them. The finish is ok, it’s not as good as a Snap-On wrench but for the price difference there fine. The sizes are 1/4”, 9/32”, 5/16”, 11/32”, 3/8”, 7/16”, 1/2″, 9/16”, 5/8”, 11/16”, 3/4″, 13/16”, 7/8”, 15/16”, 1”, 1 1/16”, 1 1/8” and 1 1/4″. I like the 15 degree offset for better access in tight spaces. Also the wrenches come with a Limited Lifetime warranty.

I like my new GearWrench SAE Combination Wrench set. The sizes included in this set range are 1/4, 9/32, 5/16, 11/32, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8, 15/16, 1, 1-1/16, 1-1/8 and 1-1/4 inch. The wrenches are made in the long pattern for extended reach. On the open end of each wrench a custom feature called “Surface Drive Plus” is provided. This feature provides a raised edge to grab the fastener providing 25% more torque and reduces rounding of the bolt or nut. The box end of each wrench has a 15 deg. offset for better access to the fastener. The “wrench roll” works well and secures all of the wrenches for storage in your tool chest. The “wrench roll” can also be used to hang the wrenches on a peg board or wall. When hung against a wall the “wrench roll” is 28 inches wide and 24 inched tall. The chrome on the wrenches is flawless. The GearWrench SAE Combination Wrench set comes with a Lifetime Warranty.

I have not used it extensively although it looks to be of decent quality since it is made in China.The complete set includes 1/4, 9/32, 5/16, 11/32, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8, 15/16, 1, 1-1/16, 1-1/8 and 1-1/4 in. long pattern combination non-ratcheting wrenches.They come in a wrench roll which makes it very easy to carry them to whatever you are working on. They have a high polish, nickel chrome finish which is very easy to keep clean. The Box end part of wrench is offset for hand clearance.

This GearWrench SAE Combination Wrench Set is HUGE. The roll pouch measures 28 inches wide by 24 inches high when I measured it with my tape measure. The 1-1/4 inch wrench measures a whopping 17 inches long. Compare this with the smallest wrench, the 1/4 inch wrench, which measures 5 inches long. The whole thing was too heavy for my 10 pound postage scale. So I weighed it on my bathroom scale and it weighs in a 11.6 pounds. I like the fabric roll pouch much better than the plastic roll pouch on my old combination wrench set.

The GearWrench SAE Combination Wrench Set is a really nice set of end wrenches. They are contained in a very heavy-duty black canvas case that rolls up. Each end wrench has an open end and box end, both the same size. The box end is non-ratcheting. These wrenches are a long style with the smallest wrench being 5 1/4 inches long and the largest wrench is 17 1/4 inches long. The sizes are 1/4”, 9/32”, 5/16”, 11/32”, 3/8”, 7/16”, 1/2″, 9/16”, 5/8”, 11/16”, 3/4″, 13/16”, 7/8”, 15/16”, 1”, 1 1/16”, 1 1/8” and 1 1/4″. The open end is flat and box end has a 15 degree offset to have an easier access. The open end is offset 15 degrees to the side. The black canvas case has a rivetted hole in each of the top corners so that it can be unrolled and mounted on the wall. It measures 28” wide by 24” high. The wrenches are highly polished. The canvas case can be rolled up and tied shut when being stored. The wrenches have a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty.

The best set of wrenches I have by far. Good length of each wrench for good leverage. Box end is made to not just grip the shoulders, but farther from the points. I used the set to remove my diesel fuel pump from my tractor, so I could rebuild it. Wrenches made disassembly and assembly easy. Nice thickness on the wrenches so as to not be rough on your hands.

Everyone’s shop/garage should contain at minimum, one set of “long” wrenches. This GEARWRENCH SAE Long Pattern Combination Wrench Set w/ Storage Roll (18-Piece) Part# 81917 is definitely one to consider. Designed to make tight and deep fasteners more accessible , this set gets it done. Not only difficult to reach fasteners but, more torque with less effort can be achieved as well. The chrome finish is just ok. Now, size stamping is located on the body of the open end and one the bridge towards boxe end. Sharing the bridge, center stamped company logo. Reverse side, stamped size location is on body of open box end only and center stamped on the bridge you’ll find the individual wrench part number. Two thumbs up!

The Gearwrench sae combo wrench set is a great package. Gearwrench gives you tool truck quality at resable price point. The wrench set is very high quality and very well made. The set doesn’t skip any sizes from 1/4″-11/4″. They come in a good quality tool roll to help keep them organized and also features reinforced metal eyelets to hang it up from if thats the way you like to store them.
