The GEARWRENCH 94-Piece. 1/4 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in. Metric and SAE Mechanics Hand Tool Set in EVA foam includes a 1/4 in. ratchet, 3/8 in. ratchet and 1/2 in. ratchet that all feature a low profile head and flush mounted reversing lever for greater access. The sockets feature large hard-stamped part numbers and size on both sides of the socket allow for easier viewing of the socket sizes and double lines (SAE) and knurled lines (metric) for easy SAE verses Metric identification. This Gearwrench Metric and SAE Tool Set is yet another great set for every diyer around as well as a professional mechanic. This set includes a 1/4″ ratchet, 3/8″ ratchet and 1/2″ ratchet and they all have that low profile head with reverse lever. I love that these sockets have large numbers and sizes on both sides of the socket making it much easier for me to find the right one without having to get my reading glasses out. These tools are made of polished nickel chrome plated alloy steel (that’s a mouthful) the sockets are backed by a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. Definitely a great set to have around.

I got the Gearwrench 94 piece eva socket tray mechanics tool set to try out. It has every size ratchet and socket you could ever need to get the job done. All the pieces are quality made and good weight. I like the way the ratchets felt in my hand. I’m not a mechanic by trade but I piddle with fixing things under the hood and this set made getting to the tight spots much easier. I like that each piece is stored in the foam tray that is clearly marked in the tray where the pieces go. The tray is large and does fit in my big rolling tool cart in my garage. Comes with a lifetime warranty.

I just received this 94 piece mechanics tool set about a week ago and i am extremely impressed with the variety and quality of this tool set. It has both metric and sae sockets in a large range of sizes including a 1/4 in. ratchet, 3/8 in. ratchet and 1/2 in. ratchet that all feature a low profile head and on the body of the socket the sizes are clear and well sized, I have owned many different socket sets over the years but none compare to the quality of this set. I have been making due with various parts of socket sets for several years. Recently, I had to assemble a Cyclone Rake leaf vacuum and realized that it was time to get serious about having a comprehensive, well made socket set. When the Gearwrench set arrived i was blown away by how great it was packaged, the quality of the tools,and the great,foam storage tray. This set includes metric and SAE size sockets and on the body of the socket the sizes are clear and well sized . Also, on the body there are 2 distinctive designs for metric vs SAE. Im am so happy with this set and cannot wait to really put it to the test when bigger projects come up. For now,the few things I did try it on,it performed well.

This Gearwrench Mechanic’s Socket Tool Set has just about every ratchet and socket tool I can ever imagine needing. It has 3 ratchet handles (1/4, 3/8, 1/2 inch), a wide variety of sockets (regular and deep) for each ratchet in both SAE and metric sizes, various length extension arms for each ratchet and special use sockets. The tools are heavy duty stainless steel and each piece is size marked . The ratchet handles have easy flip switches for turn direction. The only problem with this set is; for as great as the tools are, they skimped with the casing. Inside the cardboard box, the tools are held in a rubber tray which is flexible and can not be removed from the box. This set is not transportable and must be kept in a workshop or garage.

For those concerned about country of origin there is no indication where this product was manufactured.Given that fact I found this product to be sturdy, durable, and easy to use, so it must have been well manufactured somewhere.Tools are contained in a Styrofoam casing which clearly indicates the tool size, making it easy to find and replace when done.Only issue was that the case is too large for inclusion into a standard drawer.

GEARWRENCH ¼ in., 3/8 in., ½ in. 120XP EVA Socket Tray Mechanics Tool Set (94-Piece) – Although this set is high quality, it definitely tilts to the metric side of mechanic’s tools. The 3 ratchets are finely machined and operate smoothly with each having 120 ratcheting positions and a 3° swing arc for working in tight spots. The heavy-duty sockets are also very nice, however there are twice as many metric sockets as SAE and the set does not include any ½”-drive SAE sockets. The standard ½”-drive metric sockets include 10mm to 32mm; the standard 3/8” and ¼”-drive metric and SAE sockets include the typical sizes. There are also deep-wall ¼”-drive metric and SAE sockets but only 3/8”-drive metric; no 3/8”-drive SAE deep-wall sockets.The set includes a good variety of extensions for each of the ratchets with the longest being 10” and both common sizes of spark plug sockets. The set comes in an EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) organizer tray with a labeled spot for each piece that fits in any 22” wide tool cabinet drawer.

Overall this is very good set for the price. My only complaint and it isn’t really a complaint but it is inconvenient would be that the drive sizes are not labeled and seem to be in no particular order. Ratchets are very high quality and nice tool set overall!

The GEARWRENCH 94-Piece mechanic tool set is well made of polished chrome steel. It has a lifetime manufacturers warranty. It is packed in a form fitting foam tray that slides into your tool chest. Sizes include both metric and SAE including 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch,1/2 inch sockets, ratchets, etc. Really like how the foam tray keeps me organized. It is labelled and shows the size for easy viewing and organized so they can be returned to the right spot. The sockets are also marked with the size. I recommend this product. Home Depot offers several versions in case you need a smaller or larger set.

The GearWrench 94-piece mechanics hand-tool set has all of the sockets, ratchet drives, extensions and adapters for working with common sizes of nuts and bolts encountered by the “sometime” (or even “everyday”) mechanic. One only needs to add a set of screwdrivers, multi-grip pliers and a few combination, open-end wrenches to be ready to work on anything mechanical. The set comes snugly mounted in a memory-foam pad glued to a semi-flexible 27 inch by 16-¼ inch vinyl surface layer that is cut-out and clearly labelled for each of the tool-set items. The entire tool set with foam mounting board fits nicely into any of the drawers of my roller tool chest. The flush-mounted reverse lever makes it easy to fit the ratchet drives with sockets and/or extensions attached into tight places without accidentally switching ratchet direction. The slim-style ratchet-head with smooth, chrome plating help to make operating these tools feel natural.
