Great set from gear wrench. This set has 579 pieces to get most any job done. I am a home hobby mechanic and this set was exactly what I needed. The set comes with everything, Ratchets, Wrenches, Sockets, Extensions, Screw Drivers, Pliers, Allen sockets and more. The ratchets are very high quality and include fixed and flex heads for each of the ratchet sizes. Ratchets have a nice smooth tooth action that makes tight spaces easy to maneuver in. My Favorite ratchets so far are the flex stubby and the long handle flex, they are so nice and fit in all the tight spots. The Wrenches come from a very small 6mm all the way up to 32mm and the imperial equivalents. One of my favorite parts of this set are the “gear wrench” ratcheting wrenches they include. Both standard and metric sets are included along with 12 stubby ratcheting wrenches. The Chrome finish on the tools feels very durable and I expect it will stand up to a ton of abuse. The socket and wrench sizing are nice and easy to read. This set includes a ton of sockets, it includes shallow, mid length and deep versions of all the necessary sizes. Hex bit sockets are also included and come supplied with nice socket rails for storage. 2 sets of Long ball hex sockets in the most common sizes for the hard to reach spots. Nice set of 12 comfort grip screwdrivers, feel excellent in the hand and also include a hex portion on the shaft for putting a wrench for more leverage. The screwdriver tips are of nice quality and I have not had any worries of them stripping out. 3 adjustable wrenches that operate very smooth and have nice rubber grips. Pilers portion consists of 2 slip jaws, a needle nose, side cutters, nail puller and a regular set of adjustable pliers. This set fills my home garage toolbox and leaves me feeling confident that I can fix anything in the garage or around my home with ease. I like the storage cases for the pliers, screwdrivers and socket sets. I do wish very socket set came with a storage rail, but everybody stores their tools differently so its not a big deal at all for me to add some peg holders in the future. The specialty sockets all came with storage rails so that is a great bonus. Overall I couldn’t be happier with the quality and variety that this set offers along with the LIFETIME WARRENTY it is a no-brainer!

This Gearwrench 579-piece Master Mechanics hand tool set is an excellent tool set for any mechanics or the DYI mechanics at home. It has a lot of tools (sockets, ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.). After purchasing this tool set you won’t need any other tools because this set has everything, it’s a very complete set. The set has more that 350 sockets covering ¼, 3/8 and ½ inch drive sizes. The Gearwrench tool set includes metric and SAE on wrenches, sockets, etc. The box that the set came in was very well packed and it was very heavy. I’m very pleased with this tool set due to being a complete set. I’m not a professional mechanic but I’ll use this at home. The sockets have nice markings for sizes that will allow you to easily find what you are looking for. You can tell Gearwrench used high quality materials for this tool set. The grip for the screwdrivers is very nice and comfortable. Make sure that you have a tool box/chest because this set doesn’t come with one or even a tool bag, it just tools…a lot of high-quality tools. I highly recommend this tool set to any mechanics or average homeowner that occasionally do DIYs around the house.

This is a very comprehensive tool set. The set includes both metric and SAE and basically, both have about the same number of components, (sockets by type, wrenches and ratcheting wrenches as well as allen wrench socket drives). The high points of this set are the 1.5″ and 32mm wrenches, sockets, deep well sockets in all 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ drive systems. The 1/2″ drive system is thoroughly complete from the large sockets down to the small ones. The 1/2″ drive sockets i was just starting to build more variety with and this set totally completed that. From deep well sockets, 6 and 12 point sockets, it has it all. It even has all 3 drive size socket allen wrench heads, from 3/4″ down to small and like 19mm on the metric side. There are even an assortment of socketed allen wrenches in both SAE and metric as well, they are about 6″s long with ball heads. The set has basically any ratcheting drive configuration available including solid head and variable angle heads all in 90 tooth heads along with all 3 drive sizes pretty complete extensions. The wrenches include box end wrenches as well as ratcheting box end so if you need a 17mm combination wrench or a 17mm ratcheting wrench..you have both! Quality wise, i have older Craftsman and newer Craftsman, this Gearwrench set lies in the middle as far as wrench thickness and kind of shallower on the open end side of the box wrenches, which should not pose any problem for the home mechanic, hobbyist or even some shop use. Ratchets all measure up quality as well as the sockets. The set includes a variety of phillips and standard screwdrivers in various sizes and lengths as well as a pliar set and 3 adjustable end wrenches. When i first opened the finely packed crate, i was astounded by the sheer volume of the tools, about the largest set i have seen since i had advance auto mechanics in high school decades ago. You need to really look at the item description to get a grasp on what all this tool set has included. I have a few other Gearwrench tools of which i am totally satisfied with and this set pretty much completes my entire tool collection. Look forward to future products from Gearwrench! Ops, forgot to mention, i have only had a chance to use a few of the tools thus far, but i have gone through the sizes i have needed and checked for sloppiness in the wrenches and sockets of which there is none.

I do minor repairs on my cars and boat when I am able to do the job myself. My current tool set is very old and pieces are missing or worn out. I needed a new, complete set of tools to replace my cobbled tool set to get my repair jobs done quickly and properly. The 579 piece GearWrench Master Mechanics Hand Tool Set is what I needed. It is a complete set of tools for all my repairs. It includes all the pliers, screwdrivers, ratchets, extensions, swivels, socket sets (1/2, 3/8 and 1/4) and standard and ratchet wrenches I need. The sockets came is a wide range of sizes in 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 sizes. The plastic cases for the pliers and screwdrivers were nice and I could just drop them into my tool chest. I have not had a chance to use the tools much so far, but the tools are good quality. I especially like the set of ratchet wrenches that come with the set. These are a real time and knuckle saver as you can tighten or loosen the bolts or nuts without having to constantly reposition the wrench for each turn. Having the right tool for the job is critical. If you have ever worked a repair in a cramped space, you understand the value of this feature. I would definitely recommend adding GearWrench tools to your tool box.
