GEARWRENCH 2 IN. JUMBO COMBINATION RATCHETING WRENCH is a well made piece. The size and weigh of this piece is up to the jobs that a 2 inch wrench would clearly be used for. The Gearwrench brand is made by Apex who owns and manufactures many well know quality brands. The Gearwrench wrench is very strong so you can put some leverage on this long wrench if needed. The finish of the chrome is well done and the catching mechanism is very smooth and well designed. A great wrench to reach for when the job calls for it.

The GearWrench 2 inch Jumbo Combination Ratcheting Wrench is for 2 inch nuts or heads. The wrench is 26 inches long. The boxed-end has a 12-point ratchet that is non reversable, but you can easily reverse it by flipping the wrench over. The other end of the wrench is a standard 2 inch open-end. This wrench is very useful when working on large equipment, such as my antique farm tractor. The ratcheting boxed end is reversed by lifting it off and flipping it over. This tool is smooth and shiny so will clean very easily. Suggest applying a small amount of oil on the ratchet end after cleaning and before putting away to keep it from sticking. The tool weighs 9 lbs.

The gear wrench 2 inch combination is a heavy duty wrench for your large bolted jobs. The wrench is very heavy allowing you to add a lot of torque. I have never used a ratchet this large and was thrown off by not having a switch to change ratcheting feature but then quickly realized it is open on both sides so you could just flip it around. Wrench has a gorgeous chrome finish.

The first thing you notice when picking up the two-inch jumbo combination ratcheting wrench from the box is how heavy this wrench is. Clearly, it is made for heavy work and also for durability. This wrench is longer than other 2-inch wrenches I own and certainly better made.I liked the chrome polish finish because it’s easy to clean up after the job, and the smooth finish is easier on my hands. I measured the head of the ratchet portion and noted that it is a full inch thick. The open-end wrench was thinner, but looks equally as strong as the ratchet end. The length of the wrench was a touch over 26-inches. The extra length gives me more torque to break loose or tighten nuts and bolts. On large agriculture equipment, there are places where a full-size socket cannot reach. This is where a heavy-duty jumbo wrench can fill the gap. While it may not be something that is used daily, it certainly is useful when the job calls for a wrench and not a socket.

For big jobs, you need a big tool.My son used to work on forklifts, and when he saw this, he said, “I’ve seen bigger.”. Then, he noticed the ratcheting mechanism, and added, “Very impressive.”This is a very stout wrench, and the ratchet mechanism is very smooth. Not as fine a movement as you’d find in a quality socket ratchet, but for this size, you don’t need that. This is very nicely finished, with no rough edges and good chrome coverage over the entire tool.

The Gear Wrench 2 inch jumbo combination ratcheting wrench is of good quality. The wrench is fully finished in chrome with rounded edges so it fits nicely in your hand. The ratcheting mechanism is smooth and easy to use. This tool measure about 26 inches in length. That said this is a heavy duty tool and weighs about 3 pounds. This is a tool that would be used by either a heavy equipment mechanic or diesel mechanic.

What a wonderful JUMBO 2″ combo ratcheting wrench!Normally I would use a large impact wrench for nuts or bolts this size but this can be the solution when sockets, extensions and impact tools can’t fit or reach. The chrome plating is beautifully done and almost appears as “show chrome”. Its longevity and wear will be tested over time. Also… I found that while the length (and weight) of this wrench would be necessary to torque or loosen hardware of this size, it appears that it will not fit cross-ways in the toolboxes I have… which are pretty standard. They will fit at a slight angle but I prefer to show it off a bit. See my solution below… and yes, that is Big John!
