These SAE sized wrenches are a must have, especially at this price point! The five piece set includes: 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16 and 5/8 inch ratcheting, combination wrenches. The ratcheting box-end end consists of a 12 point box mechanism that needs only 5 degrees of sweep to engage and turn a nut. This comes in very handy in those tight & hard to get to places. The bright, chrome finish looks very professional too. A great value.

These combo ratchet wrenches are great. They can get into places that you could never get a regular socket into. The ratchet is smooth and easy and it is to just be able to flip it around and ratchet the opposite way. The whole set is well made by Husky and of course I like the lifetime warranty. I also like the open end side of the set, as it makes for an almost 10 full piece set of wrenches. I definitely recommend this as a must for any toolbox.

I’ve been a dedicated DIYer and tool nut for most of my 65 years. Over the years, I’ve accumulated dozens of wrenches, socket sets, and the like, and while pursuing my hobby of restoring British sports cars of the 50’s and 60’s, I put them all through their paces. Somehow, though, I never acquired a ratcheting set of box wrenches such as these. Now that I have them, I wish I’d gotten them years ago. This design gives you the ratcheting advantage of a socket wrench in tight areas where a traditional socket just won’t fit, particularly common when working on old engines. This particular brand appears to be well-made and heavy-duty, and the 5 piece kit contains the most commonly used wrench sizes. I’ve only had them for a week now but thus far they’ve performed perfectly. I think I’ll be using these for years to come – highly recommended!

EXCELLENT WRENCHES! GearWrench really did a nice job with these wrenches. The reason I feal this way is because they are straight forward wrenches. There is nothing fancy about them. The are easy to hold. They are clear to see the size markings. Foremost, the materials used to fabricate the tool are strong and sturdy. Don’t get me wrong, they are definitely not some low end wrench. However, they are definitely a straight forward, strong and durable wrench that gets the job done!

This is a very nice wrench set. I especially like the fine ratchet (5 degrees), which allows me to use it in very tight spaces where I otherwise couldn’t.The finish is good, and it has a good range of sizes, although I would have liked to have had one size smaller for some of the things I work on.I got both the metric and SAE sets to cover all my needs.

About two years ago I finally purchased a 10 piece set of metric ratcheting wrenches because I was starting to have to fix our aging cars that were getting too expensive to keep taking to an automotive shop. I had never used a ratcheting wrench before and I sure wish I had had them years ago. They make working in tight places a thousand times easier and not having to take the wrench off the fastener every time just to put it back on for another 1/4 turn gets old. Especially when you are working by feel instead of by sight. Over the last two years I have found that every once in a while I need a SAE standard sized wrench instead of metric and I didn’t have any so it was starting to get frustrating every time I needed one. This set is perfect in that it has all the basic common sizes you could possibly need from 7/16″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 9/16″ & 5/8″. I haven’t found a situation yet where I have needed a larger or smaller size. These wrenches have a bright full chrome finish and they need as little as 5* of sweep to move a fastener which is fantastic in those very tight spots. These wrenches also come with a lifetime warranty so they should last a lifetime of use with no problems. The ratcheting portion of the wrench have a definitive click when you go to use them so you know the wrench is turning sometimes when you can’t really tell. The price point on this set of five wrenches is fantastic for the quality of product you are getting. I’m looking forward to getting years and years of use out of them and now that I have both SAE and metric wrenches it will make fixing things a whole lot easier.

Sweet wrench set! Straight design with open-end and micro-ratchet, my favorite sizes, from 3/8 to 5/8.Smooth hard finish. 12-point sockets grip the hex corners securely. Flip-over to screw or un-screw. Length is good for tight places. The micro-ratchet design lets you slowly work-off a nut in a bad place where you can hardly get a swing. Of course if you have swing you can spin a nut off far faster than an open-end wrench, and in places where a conventional socket won’t work. The end-wrench end is still handy for jobs where a round-wrench won’t go, like door-sag rods with lock-nuts. These take top place in my tool-box!

5 Piece SAE Ratcheting Wrench Set. Includes the following sizes: 3/8″, 7/16″, 1/2″, 9/16″, & 5/8″. Good for tight spots since you only need a small amount of rotation to rotate bolt. Nice looking chrome finish. Fits tightly on the bolt head and are long enough to get some leverage. You just need to turn the wrench over to go from tightening to loosening. The thickness of the head and the width of the handle increase as the size increases. The Lifetime Warranty mentioned is not the same as some other lifetime warranties when you can return something with no questions asked. This one states tool must be used properly, not damaged thru abuse and will be repaired or replaced at Apex’s discretion.

I am not a gear-head, shade-tree mechanic, or even like greasy jobs. What I do like is a tool that works easy, is built right and does what it supposed to do. I am a lazy wrench-turner. Love wood working, but, got a slight hatred of finding the right tool, busting knuckles and all the stuff associated with mechanics. I got this set for all those reasons. If the lawnmower needs tweaking, now I’m prepared! Mine are made in SAE in sizes from 5/8 down to 7/16…all I”LL ever neeed!!!! and a lifetime warranty. For folks like me, that could be at least a century! But, at least I have some good ratcheting tools…IF I NEED THEM!!!

Overall, this is a nice wrench at a fair price point. My observations:• They are 12 point.• They have 5 degrees of sweep needed to start moving the wrench. This is good.• The wrench has 72 teeth which creates the 5 degrees of sweep to start the wrenching.• Most common sizes included. 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16 and 5/8 in.• The chrome polish is a good quality.• Does not have a reversible lever, however just turn the turn the wrench to the other side to reverse. Easy.• Font is clear and large enough to read.• Easy to hold with normal ergonomics for a combination wrench.• Does not include any type of holder for the wrenches. Typically you can pay quite a bit of money for ratcheting combination wrenches. At this price point and level of quality I feel like this is a good choice. I recommend.
