The ratcheting box-end of these wrenches work like a socket wrench in places where a socket wrench won’t fit. I am sure that with only a five degree of movement required for each click of the ratchet they also work in a tighter space than most socket wrenches. I also like them because they are far easier to use than a standard box end wrench that you have to remove and reset the wrench with each stroke. These wrenches are strong and well-made, have a great look to them, and clean up nicely.This 16 wrench set covers the full range of metric nut and bolt sizes that I work with. Very happy to have this set of wrenches in my tool box.

I was very impressed with the quality of these wrenches they are the perfect size and weight for most all task the close ratio on the ratcheting end makes these perfect for tight spaces I use wrenches on a daily basis and to have a full set in one easy holder makes any job that much easier you will not loose time searching for the right wrench it is right there I would recommend these wrenches to do it yourselfers as well as professionals

Nice set of metric wrenches. I got this set for most all new equipment is metric. The ratcheting end is small and lets me get into to tight places.The ratchet lets me stay on the bolt or nut. The open end is strong and stays on the bolt/nut. The lifetime warranty says they stand behind these quality wrenches. With 16 wrenches the set has all the sizes need for most all jobs. I would like to have a little more angle on the ratcheting end.

Beautifully crafted, well made wrenches. The shaft on these wrenches is slimmer than on my husky wrenches. The finish is nice, shiny and very easily cleaned with a rag. The ratcheting box ends are 12 point and only require a slight turn back to get another bite, which will come in very handy in a tight spot. They require to be turned over to ratchet the other way since there is no switch. There is an “r” on one side indicating it is the right turning (tightening) side. This metric set has all of the sizes between 8mm and 24mm, excluding 23mm. This makes it a mostly complete set. A lot of other metric sets skip many more. The numbers on the wrenches are a good size as to be easily seen. The molded plastic package holds the wrenches securely. Just insert one side of the wrench in and then snap the other side in. It works great to hang on the wall and is perfect as a handle to carry the wrenches around. There are a couple mounting holes on the mold but i just use the handle. On the wall it takes up about 14×14 inches

Each wrench needs only 5 degrees of movement to lock and grab and turn fasteners, making it ideal to use in real tight places where the traditional turn, remove, reset, motion will not work. Gear Wrench make great products like this set having a durable chrome finish. The wrenches are marked with large easy to read numbers and have a micro ratcheting teeth so you can get into tight spaces. The set ranges from 8mm to 24mm and the holding rack can be hung on a wall or peg board without falling out. The wrenches are accurate meaning that a 13mm bolt will fit snug inside 13mm wrench. I have tried to destroy the wrenches but they hold up very well from abuse.

In my shop in Arizona, I have a set of SAE combination wrenches hanging on the wall over my workbench that looks a lot like this GearWrench 16-piece Metric Master Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set, but that’s where the similarity ends. This GearWrench set has longer shafts for hard-to-reach nuts and, of course, the ratcheting box end with off-corner loading that helps prevent rounding over of the bolt or nut corners and gives 25% more torque. The compact head design allows access to tighter spaces and the ratchet needs only 5 degrees rotation to move a bolt versus 15 to 30 degress for a standard box wrench.Like all the GearWrench products I’ve acquired, this set comes nicely organized in a plastic rack that can hang on the wall or lay in a tool chest. Each wrench is held securely in its place, but can be easily removed for use. The set includes sizes from 8 to 24 mm so you should have a wrench for every size metric nut. I highly recommend this set.
