The GearWrench 8-Piece Metric Reversible Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set delivers up to 25% more torque with open end wrench. The ratcheting box-end needs as little as 5° to move a fastener versus 30° for standard box end wrenches. IT features a compact reversing lever which allows the change of direction with the flick of a thumb.
- Surface drive provides a stronger grip on fasteners, reducing fastener rounding
- Sleek head design enables access to tight spots where a ratchet will not fit
- Product is able to withstand wear, pressure, or damage
- Wrench sizes: 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 19 mm

I bought some of these ratchets probably 10 years ago and these are every bit as good as my old ones. I still have the old ones. These are an offset version wrench, with the handle being bent so you don’t skin your knuckles. The ratchet mechanism is still pretty unbreakable. The old model was flat and to reverse the wrench you had to flip it over. These have a switch on the base of the box end, that allows for changing the direction . I exerted some serious stress on this mechanism and it didn’t let go so I have to give it a thumbs up. If you’re a home owner looking for a great set of ratchets or you’re a professional looking for a good set these are very good. These ratchets are not thin walled but for regular everyday stuff they’re good. Tough ratchet mechanism and nice chrome finish.

These wrenches are made in China and appear to have somewhat better than usual machining for Chinese products. They aren’t snap-on tools, and I wouldn’t use them in a professional, heavy use environment. For the homeowner, though, these are just fine. I haven’t used them enough to determine their longevity. So far, so good. I do believe the wrench set represents a good value for the non discriminating homeowner; 8 wrenches for $40!

This is a great ratcheting wrench set for for homeowner/mechanic use especially at its price point. The sizes are easily read, and the chrome finish is outstanding. These ratcheting wrenches have almost no play. These are great for tight spots that you can’t fit a normal ratchet and socket. I had some trouble with the 17mm and 19mm wrenches binding up on me on the tightening setting, but after I worked them awhile, they stopped binding and work perfectly. The case could use some work. It wastes to much space in a toolbox unless you plan on hanging it on the wall.

I was skeptical about buying these, looked at them numerous times and finally bought a set, my tool box has now been cleared of other brand wrenches. 🙂 My only regret is not buying them a long time ago.

As a woodworker, wrenches are not the most common used tool I have, but I can tell you this much. They feel like quality workmanship! Feels good in the hand and makes a nice firm grip on the nut you are turning. I’m sure what most tool owners will tell you, is due to lack of space you need to have each one of your tools to do as much quality work as it can, versatile, and take up minimal space doing it. I mounted these in the case they came in, on a wall in my shop in a corner I was not using. This may not work for a mechanic, but for my needs it was perfect!

For the most part a good set, however the “switch” where you change the direction of the ratcheting will sometimes get hung up especially if I get my hand / finger on it while I am using it in a close quarter situation like I often find myself in when I am working in the engine compartment of the car. These are are also small and compact so I can get into those tight spots. These types of wrenched work really well for situations where the bolt is too long for my deep wall sockets and getting into those really tight spaces. The tray is comes with is okay, however it does take up a lot of room and is kind of high for the drawer in my toolbox so I ended up hanging it on the side with some wire used for tying off rebar. The good thing about the tray is it does hold the wrenches well and they are not difficult to get out of the holder. The finish and marking are very good quality.

I like this set of wrenches it has open end and ratcheting box end with reversible switch on the end so you don’t ever have to take wrench off to tighten or loosen nuts or bolts with just a flick of the thumb. they seem to have more torque and better rotation in tight spaces. The Gearwrench brand has been a top quality tools at a less expensive price. I will be purchasing more of them.

This is an 8-piece Metric Reversible ratcheting wrench set made by GearWrench. The reversible on tighten and loosing nut and bolts. There is a levier to reverse the action, no need to flip it over to change direction. The ratchet box end needs as little as 5 degree to move the fastener versus 30 degree from a standard box end wrench. So when you are in tight spots you can only move it a little and it can tighten or loosen those nuts and bolts. The sizes it comes with 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 19 mm. It comes with a Manufacturer’s Limited Lifetime warranty.

This is a 8 piece set spanning 8mm to 19mm so it is missing a few. The ratcheting mechanism has little play and the handle movement to get the next gear is also small. They are nicely polished and clearly marked with the size. They feel good in the hand and like they are quality made. They come in a plastic tray that is just OK. I like them and think they are a good addition to my shop.

I used this set for removing the exhaust manifolds from a 2008 Mustang GT. They definitely make it much easier to remove fasteners where a ratchet can’t be used. The heads are offset 15 degrees from the wrench so you can work with the wrench away from interfering surfaces. There is a nice reversing lever that changes the direction of the ratchet. I estimate the ratchet has about 80 teeth because 20 clicks turn the wrench about 90 degrees.

I have needed some metric tools for a very long time. These combination ratcheting wrenches are wonderful. I didn’t notice it in the picture, but you don’t have to turn these over to reverse the ratcheting. There is a knob like a lot of the socket ratcheting handles that reverses the action. They are also on a 15 degree angle so that you don’t rap your knuckles on anything.
