This is a nice wrench set. It comes in a neat, compact holder that can be hung or mounted in a variety of ways in your workshop. The wrenches themselves seem to be high quality. I love the fact that the ratchet end can pivot to make it easier to get to those hard-to-reach spots. The tool makes it easy to tell by feel which direction it wants to turn. The ratchet socket is fine-toothed to get a good grip on rounded-off nuts and bolts. Just an excellent toolset.

This eight piece wrench set combines an open end wrench with a ratcheting box end. The wrenches are well made and the ratcheting end only needs a 5 degree sweep to move a fastener. This can come in handy when working in tight spaces. The eight wrenches range in size from 5/16″ up to 3/4″. I gave this set a four rather than a five due to the carrying rack and storage tray. These are poorly made and once the storage tray is removed from the carrying rack, it is very hard, if not impossible, to reattach. In addition, the wrenches are only loosely secured in the storage tray. The best way to use the storage tray is simply to put it in your tool drawer and throw the carrying rack away. These quality wrenches deserve a better storage tray and carrying rack.

These wrenches are extremely handy. The eight pack SAE wrenches are the perfect size for any task that you typically encounter around the home. Very well made with high quality chrome plated steel. The box end is a ratchet, you simply slide the lever with your thumb to reverse the Drive direction. The plastic holding bracket is clearly marked so that you can easily find the size you need and return it to the correct location when finished. Great addition to your collection. Highly recommended.

An extremely functional set of wrenchs. There are 8 in the set sized 5/16″, 3/8″, 7/16″, 1/2″, 9/16″, 5/8″, 11/16″, and 3/4″. Each wrench has two end functionality –one end is open, the other end is closed. The closed ends are flex heads able to tilt up to 180 degrees (see picture). Additionally, inside the closed wrench is a ratching ring, which obviously can be used as a ratchet but also prevents fastners becoming rounded (see picture). The wrenchs are heavy and high quality. The holder can be mounted (as shown in my picture) using either the single hole or double hole. The wrenchs lock easily and nicely in the holder by placing the stem into the grooves then twisting slightly to lock in place.

This Open End and Flex Head ratchet set is of high quality metal. The ratchet has a 5 degree sweep and the flex head allows you to get into tight quarters. The head has hex head set screws not pinned. The tool fits well in your hand. This set replaces my older style angle head ratchet wrenches that uses a lever to change direction of ratchet. The older style were always difficult to operate. With this tool, to change direction of ratchet, you only need to flip to the other side. This tool has a feature you will really like! On one side of the handle there is a touch assist( slight ridges) that let’s you determine which direction you should turn, along with an arrow on the handle. The kit also includes a heavy duty plastic storage tray, just snap them in and out. I highly recommend this for any DIYer or home mechanic.

This eight-piece wrench set combines an open-end wrench on one end and a matching ratcheting box on the other end. The wrenches are well made. The ratcheting end is unique only needing a space to move a fastener which is handy when working in tight spaces. The eight wrenches are 5/16 in., 3/8 in., 7/16 in., 1/2 in., 9/16 in., 5/8 in., 11/16 in., 3/4 in. The compact holder is a bit difficult to get the wrenches back in after you take them out. It is easy to tell by feel which direction the ratcheting end is turning because of a serrated wrench beam lets you feel which way to pull.

Gearwrench 12 Point SAE Flex Box End 8 Piece Ratchet Wrench SetThis is a very useful set for anyone working on older cars or equipment still using SAE fasteners. The set has box ends that need as little a 5 degrees of movement on a fastener to tighten or loosen. That compares to a 30 degrees of room to move a fastener with a standard box end wrench. You also get the benefit of holding the box end continually on the nut or bolt for movement, due to a pressure retention system. This wrench set does not lock the box head in position, so you can move the wrench up or down to get around nearby obstructions. The finish is the high polish of the better wrenches on the market. The wrench incorporates horizontal striations to give you an advantage of an improved grip when wet or oily. Having the span of 5/16 to 3/4 inch wrenches in this set does cover the most common sizes for consumer equipment. Gearwrench has been moving into the tool industry with tools that are a cut above previous tool suppliers. The Lifetime Warranty is another reason you need to consider Gearwrench with any tool purchase you are considering. You only need to remember the difference between precision tools and impact tools. Please do not hammer on a precision tool! Change to impact tools for the use of impact applications. There is always a difference in construction!

Wow! There are so many good things to say about these wrenches! They are made in China, but don’t sell them short. The design, fit and finish are exceptional. The flex head stays where you want it; it doesn’t flop around as I’ve experienced with other wrenches. I may have made a mistake letting my wife use them to put together our new barbecue because she likes them, too. The only thing that does nothing for me is the “one touch assistant”, which is supposed to give you a quick reference to determine ratcheting direction without having to look. My hands are pretty rough making it nearly impossible to feel the knurled edge. So, I’ll just save some time and look. Anyway, this is not a deal breaker. Best…they are backed by a lifetime warranty.

Have several rigid ratcheting sets so the flex head was a desirable difference. And the flex head was great to get into small spaces where a rigid ratchet would not fit. And the extra smaller size heads are great. Usually had to get a rigid wrench to fit these Added benefit is that the ratchet will work quite well in a 90 Degree position when the space is really tight. Easy enough to determine which side to use to open / close a head by simply flipping the head over. Small ratchet fit well under the sink when replacing water supply lines.
