Gearwrench makes quality tools and this set of unique wrenches does not disappoint! They are well designed with a ratcheting lever on both sides of the wrenches. They are sturdy and rugged for everyday use. With the crescent shape, these are not a commonly used (or even found) wrenches but with the unique shape, they work great at reaching obstructed fasteners. A must have for anyone who does mechanical work and they make a great gift. See attached pictures for further details.

Over 25 years of agriculture, working on equipment and as a contractor, I have managed to collect quite the collection of wrenches. Never have I really experienced nor seen the need for 1/2 Moon wrenches until now. The first fastener I began removing with this GearWrench (5-PIECE) Metric Double Box Ratcheting Wrench Set, immediately I fell in love with them. Obviously these wrenches are great for accessing odd placed fasteners…the general feel of this shape in your hand is very nice. Applying leverage seemed easier. Now, the wrenches are a bit thick throughout and by no means do I mean oversized. Okay, the ratcheting mechanism and arc is great. The finish easily ranks up there with other name brand wrenches. GearWrench, two thumbs up!

This type of ratcheting wrench is not something you use all the time but when you need this shape it is the only thing that will do. I am using this wrench to loosen the adjustment bolts on the diesel injection pump so that I can set the timing. The placement of these bolts makes them almost impossible to work on with a normal wrench. As you can see from the picture this half moon wrench easily reaches around the obstructions. Gearwrench is my favorite brand for this type of tool. They are well made and the polished surface makes them easy to clean.

The GEARWRENCH METRIC HALF MOON DOUBLE BOX RATCHETING WRENCH SET (5-PIECE) is a very nice set. The wrenches have a good weight to them, definitely not cheap feeling. These 5 wrenches come in 10 sizes, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm 15mm, 16mm 17mm 19mm, and 22mm. These give a little more leverage in tight spots than a straight wrench would. I like these very much and definitely would recommend these.

If you have ever taken a long trip in a Uhaul you understand that they have a tendency to vibrate and things like door hinges come loose. These half moon wrench set saved us multiple times on our recent trip across several states. As doors would not close these wrenches made adjusting the hinges a breeze perfect fitting with no slipping and the half moon shape made it so easy to reach the bolts. And gave me plenty of leverage What a life saver

These half moon double ratchet wrenches are sort of a speciality tool that are not used a lot but when the application is right they are absolutely indespensible. Having wrenched on vehicles for the past few decades these wrenches come in handy when space is a premium and just getting a tool into place is difficult let alone getting leverage to loosen or tighten a bolt. These wrenches can loosen or tighten a fastener with as little as 5 degrees of sweep, as opposed to a normal standard box end wrench requiring 30 degrees, this is a huge difference when it comes to those out of the way stubborn bolts. I have always enjoyed the quality of Gearwrench tools and these are no exception. The ratcheting heads have a solid positive feel and the chrome plating displays quality. The wrenches are packaged in a reusable case that will store nicely in a tool chest.

First time I saw these I knew I had to have a set. Working on an old English car, they are really handy to have, like when removing the carbs from the intake manifold. These wrenches have a great feel to them, made of quality materials, chrome plated with ratcheting heads. The reversing lever is on both sides of the wrench, so makes reversing easy no matter where you are working. Set comes with 10mm to 22mm, so covers all of your needs with one set. Sizes are clearly marked on both sides of the wrenches which makes identification easy. Nice quality tool to get at hard to reach nuts and bolts.
