First off I am surprised how quiet it runs. It also seems pretty well balanced, there is a little vibration when it just starting up and shutting down, but at operating speeds it’s really smooth. If you are not going to be sharpening chisels, planes, turning gouges for fine woodworking or sharpening kitchen knives and the like you will need to dress the wheels and probably get something fine and less aggressive. For general grinding like sharpening lawn mower blades, and deburring rough cut metal it works fine out of the box.Setup is simple. Attach the guards and fasten it down to worksurface. The tool rests are adjustable for the diameter of the wheel, but you can’t angle them to make putting on a consistent bevel. The LED lights are nice that they are easily adjustable but they don’t put out much light and need to be really close the wheel to be of much use. It’s better than not having lights but I could be better.

I had this little grinder unpacked and working in less than 20 minutes. Within an hour I had all the house knives and all the pocket knives sharpened, have been putting off for over 5 yrs. cost of grinder was low and it got here quick after I ordered it.

Dont let the price scare you away. This item is very nice as I also own the General drill press and it hasnt failed me yet. This bench grinder was no exception. It comes with clamps as well to clamp it to your table.I would consider this a light to medium duty bench grinder. Probably cant take a beating, but for the price it looks to probably last a good five years of solid use. If you use these infrequent, it would last longer. Recommended.

The drill works well .. for my purposes I did not need to hard mount it as the weight of grinder keeps it in place. The only con thing I will say is that the lights are basically worthless as the produce little light.
