Cutting tools like machetes, axes, and knives dull over time with use. Using a sharpening stone with water can be a tedious task, so using a grinder can be much more efficient. Enter this bench grinder and you won’t be disappointed. Its ample 6 amps of power will sharpen blades in a hurry and keep a nice consistent edge as long as you use it properly. I sharpened a small machete and axe on it quickly and without a problem. The addition of 2 LED work lights is a welcome feature of this product, allowing you to get localized light directly on your work surface without impeding your view of the task at hand. Mounting the grinder was a bit of a chore just because you have to drill out your bench and find appropriately sized bolts and nuts, but overall there wasn’t much to complain about. It would be nice to have a grinder that didn’t need to be mounted to be used just to conserve workspace, but the power of this tool necessitates a proper mounting. The grinder works well and appears to be robust and able to last. Now that I’ve written this review, it’s time to get back to the grind!
