The General International 9 in. band saw is equipped with a powerful 2.5 Amp motor to rip through hardwoods. Band-sawing produces uniform cutting action as a result of an evenly distributed tooth load. The large 11-3/4 in. x 11-3/4 in. work table can accommodate most jobs with a large cutting capacity of 3-1/2 in. For cutting irregular shapes and ripping lumber into thinner pieces, you will find that new General 9 in. Band Saw with a flexible LED work light is essential for your workshop. You can cut through a variety of wood materials with the 6-TPI blade. Make quick angle and height changes with the rack and pinion adjustable table. EZ View Blade Tracking lets you easily align the blade. Other features include a rip fence for straight cuts and a miter gauge for cross cuts. The dust port keeps your work area dust-free, while the LED work light adjusts so that you can see exactly what you’re doing. Includes 2 year limited warranty.

Bought this for some light duty wood cutting. It does a good job. You may have to do a bit of adjusting on the drive belt tension as when it arrived it was too slack and the saw seemed powerless. After taking up he slack in the drive belt it works fine. The blade tension is easy to adjust, that takes a bit of tweaking too to get the vibration to a minimum. Overall the performance is what you would expect out of a unit in this price range

So far so good. The alignment of the blade was set up just right out of the box. The led light is just a hair above useless, the lumens are very low. I wanted a saw to cut pen blanks (wood and acrylic), and it works perfectly for that.

Received the saw on Friday and set up on Saturday. Changed blade from 6 TPI to 15 TPI, checked all alignments and began cutting out my basswood figures. Absolutely thrilled with the ease of set up and quality cuts this saw does. Changing out blades is a snap! Lines were cut straight and without effort. Most pleased with my purchase.
