This saw does more than I expected. It goes vertical, witch was not stated in the review I was in the process of building one. With this one I have both. Much more than happy. Thanks HOME DEPOT.

Works as it should. It cuts easily and actually cuts straight. Blade is OK have cut everything from 1/16″ angle to 4″ shure tubing 1/4″ wall and no issues. The clamp works well, but the base is a little flimsy. I mounted it to an old shopmate and use it constantly.

Great for the small jobs I do with it, cutting some steel but mostly aluminum. I use very light pressure to start a cut with a bit more pressure once the cut is started. Finished cuts are clean and dead on my measurement from the blade. Zero angle is good, no adjustment needed. Adjusts easily to other angles. I like the handle and trigger arrangement. Very light and easy to transport with the arm locked down. Made in North America. Good deal.

The controls on this saw are a little strange. There is an on and an off button, but they just enable the saw to run. In order to use the saw, you have to use the trigger switch built into the handle sticking up from the saw. You also use the handle to control the cutting pressure by holding up some of the weight of the saw. There is no counter balance or spring taking the weight off the saw.The vice works well, and is solidly mounted to the base. For angle cuts, the saw itself has an angle adjustment to adjust the angle of the saw horizontally. The locking lever has a neat trick – you can lift it up, and turn it without moving the locking nut, and then drop it down to engage the nut again. That way, the handle doesn’t get in the way. I am not as happy with the handle that adjusts the movable blade guide. I think I am going to have to glue that one on before I lost it. There is also an add-on arm that mounts to the base and acts as an adjustable stop if you need to cut pieces to the same length. The saw does a nice job of cutting. The cut is thinner then a chop saw, and has little or no bur to it. Much less cleanup of the piece, as well as your workbench. It even cut rebar quickly and cleanly. It also does nice clean cuts on EMT – much straighter then I can manage with a portable band saw.

Not really terribly impressed by this metal cutting band saw. Construction reminds me of those cheap 1960’s Japanese tools before the made their stride into quality. Metal is very tinny and not of high gauge steel. Motor does not seem powerful for the few pieces of 4″ square bar I have cut so far. Overall does the job for now but not too impressed or get the feel this item will last.

Great solid machine for the money. I would recommend this

Sturdy machine. Cant put too much force down on the cut or the blade will stop. Just go slow and it works great.

This is a great saw. It allows me to cut inside without the sparks that my old chop saw made.
